A cheap tube of superglue with a dot on,the lead head jist before sliding your soft plastic onto it will GREATLY reduce the number of plastics you go through in an outing. Won't help blues chomping them in half but.....

We keep a pack of stinger hooks for when they start biting the plastics in half like that. You can buy them but they easy to make use shrink tubing for loop end to stay on .

that looked like a Bar shark aka sandbar shark.. dorsal fin is forward/middle of pectoral fins ... a dusky shark the dorsal is rear of pectoral fins
