That's what I thought. I used to ride as a child, showed and everything, English seat. And horses are SKITTISH, especially with strangers and new people. This lil guy was so calm that he was obviously cared for and loved at one point, so it's really nice that someone stepped in. They're so smart, and abuse just kills them.
This is why you need plans for you animals for when you get sick or die. Their care isn't going to happen immediately. Talk you your loved ones and friends and make sure your pet will not just sit in your home being forgotten like this poor horse
I'm simply amazed at all you're doing with her, and she's just staying next to you not backing away, or tossing head, the meds, all the brushing. that is one NICE little pony. One that everyone should want.
Well the senior owner must have been gentle but obviously not able to groom her. It was good of him to phone and get the attention and help this pony needed.
Quite often rescued animals somehow know that human won't harm they. Maybe this pony have just so calm character but I saw deer or even elk waiting patiently for rescue.
That little sweetie was so good about being groomed. He must have been handled alot as a foal. He looks lots better, thanks for the effort and sharing this.
I'll never get tired of watching videos like this. There's so much crap on RU-vid it's nice to watch something that warms the heart. Thanks for posting, and thanks for the amazing efforts you put in.
I love how animals are always grateful when you help them. They find a way to let you know how much it means to them. She has "thank you so much, I love you" written in her eyes.Great job guys. Respect!
When you started grooming this little sweetie I could imagine her thinking "Aaaaahhh, now that feels GOOD!" And seeing her running she looks so happy! God bless you for helping this beautiful pony!
It doesn't take long for that to happen when an animal has no constant care. Not only his coat, but also his hooves that are overgrown. Nice job on starting to rehab him!
Omg just omg and I'm watching this 4 years later and just the man who spent so much time shedding his baby coat out and not stressing him with clippers just bless your heart! I'm sure it felt soo wonderful for her and magical and to not be afraid of humans! We need more people like him! It takes energy to be mean to people but being nice cost nothing but the reward is who we feel about ourselves and that gives us energy. My horse was a pmu rescue from Canada 17 years ago, she is our family! She is the best school horse and for being half draft she loves kids but gives a lil bit of her heart to every person that she meets, she was horse of the year in 2014 at strongwater farm a therapeutic riding barn and also worked with the wounded Soldier program 🥰🐴❤
That is a really quiet and trusting pony, amazing how they give so much despite being treated so shitty, thank you for helping this little darling-awesome job.
They weren’t treated shitty their owner got older in their 70’s and had surgery me couldn’t take care of them properly anymore so they surrendered them to one one who could 💖
Sweet! Having been a horse owner, knowing it's a tough job, and a former animal shelter director who knows the heartache of seeing animals in such poor shape, kudos to you!! Glad he has a goat buddy!
Thank you, thank you, thank you for all of your amazing effort and love and kindness! This pony now can live out it's days in happiness and good health! Thank you & God Bless You!
I'm getting sick of comments like this that bash people with different reactions to joyful events. I smile about lots. This didn't make me smile. I still enjoyed it.
Really cute pony and you've done a great job with her. I'm hoping you've discovered "he" is actually a "she" by now. :) She is so sweet to stand so still when you are taking care of her. All the best to you both.
@@DaBeezKneez Conjunctions can be used like this for stylization, common especially in colloquial speech, but if it makes you happy, then sure. Sam is wrong and you are smart and we should bow down to you, a God among English writers. You must be really unhappy to feel obligated to tell people how not to write. I feel for you. Get well soon.
Beautiful and patient work. Im so glad that the animal was at least well fed and loved. I hope you will allow the elderly man to see her sometimes, im sure he is grateful that you took her in.
That pony has a very nice face. Once she's back in condition, that will be a very nice looking little pony. That pony probably thinks it died and went to heaven. I have found that the best thing to do when the coat is in that bad a condition is to shave them down very short and let a new coat grow back in.
The filly's coat had already shed, which was why it came out so easily. It just needed what the guy did. . . . And a bath, she obviously likes the mud 😄
Plus, of course, a horse in that condition probably has a variety of skin fungus, etc. Starting fresh with antiseptic baths is the way to go. I've turned a few from faded out patchy pasture coats to show coats in no time.
Sweet little guy. I'm 73, and I have 2 2 1/2yo cats. I'm making sure they'll be taken care of, if they outlive me. It's important to insure your pet's future. Shined up like a new penny and with a new friend, too.💗🐴💗
Thank you so much for rescuing this darling pony! She deserves the best, looked very neglected and sad.....love to see her running in the pasture.....Fantastic!
Aw she is so pretty! :) Well done you did a *GREAT* job and remembered all the important things like worming and hooves. I really like how patient you were in combing out tangles, instead of just cutting and letting it grow out. 10/10 !!
FAVOURITE!!! Was waiting for the farrier coz those tiny teeny toes were the best bit! What a transformation! ❤🎉❤Absolutely amazing and thank you so so so so much for letting us be witness to this new life emerging. Potential is to be found and nurtured! ❤
Awww he/she is so cute!! She/he didn’t deserve this treatment but I understand that the owner couldn’t take care of her anymore.. I’m so happy that you are able to do this we need more people like you in the world, bless your soul....💕
Diamond_kk30 -- it does look like the owner did their best up until they had the op because he/she isn't as bad as some I've seen, so there's that positive and then to find Andre to care for him/her is just the best. :)
when i spotted this video in between my art restoration videos i feared for something like a stuffed animal being retouched. What a relieve to see not just a real, but a living horse being brought back to glory :)
Yes! Thank you for this! You put so much work and effort into rescuing this horse! You're awesome. And aaaw he's so friendly. He just let's you do what you need to do to save him.
Great makeover. I hope they showed the old man that the little fellow was romping with a new friend and invite him to visit the pony. It was obvious he was feeding him and caring for the pony as much as he was physically able. Great storie. Thanks!
You did a commendable Job...I would love to see a follow up video aft maybe a couple of moths just to see the progress!!! Hats off to you Andre...G8 job!!
@@smug8567 Uh, it was a 70 old man who, after undergoing surgery, wasn't physically capable of caring for the pony but thanks for insinuating it was deliberate abuse/neglect by some healthy and capable person who just didn't care.
