Hi Ralph, I ordered you the red garden flags to use as marker for your melons, squash, zucchini, etc, in your garden. Love to you and LeaAnn. Jodi Young
Hey grandpa, nows the time to unload some of the chickletts on Shannon and Kyle 😊😂❤ Add to their tick control flock and get edible butt nuggets 😊 It's been great seeing grandma in more videos, you two are a hoot! Blessings to ya'll ❤
Morning LeAnn & Ralph the garden looks awesone! 🍉🥒🌽🍅 Hello Kyle & Shanon👋 Those blackberry pies look so good! Yummy!😊 See you next time God Bless you have a great rest of your day! 🙏✝️🤗🌻😊
Hello Grandma and Grandpa. It's 93* in NE Wisconsin and I am staying in where it's cool. Just a tip for baking, use parchment paper to line your pans. I use it for baking cookies. turnovers and cakes. Nothing sticks to it, your baking pans stay clean and makes clean up a breeze! Enjoy your week and God Bless.
I love all your videos Grandpa and Grandma. So happy to see the new Monday videos. I always look forward to seein em. You folks always make my day brighter. You're such a blessin.😊❤
Grandma and Grandpa of Adler Farms, I am so impressed with how well your garden is this year. I agree, that all the prep work Grandpa put into it made a major difference in output. Your tomato plants are so big and tall and wide! Your pumpkin plants are trying to take over the yard. HAHAHA That zucchini you pulled was huge! Food fresh from your own garden just tastes soooo much better than what is bought at the store. Well done! It was so nice to see Kyle and Shannon stop by for a visit. The blackberry hand pies looked so delicious! I did think that too much filling was being put on top on the first batch, but then I thought perhaps you were going to add a second pie crust to the top and seal it, rather than folding them over. None-the-less, they still came out well, with blackberry filling oozing out the sides, but still edible. I love watching you both with Rylie and Revel. They are such sweet, rambunctious puppies, and they sure do give you as much love back as you give to them. Blessings to you all!
You have done an amazing job on the garden Ralph! You all are so goofy and adorable! Julia Child the cook we all watched back in the day! Oh you all I am soooo jealous of the blackberry turnovers. I can't eat sugar or anything that has carbs/flour/corn, or all the good stuff. I think Kyle sure is enjoying being home with his parents. Girly bark! lol~ Those puppies are getting so big so fast. Yesterday was such a hard day, I lost my best friend I grew up with to liver cancer. And our baby dog that is up in age has to have surgery on her tail...and we don't know how that will go, or how we will pay for it. But she means the world to us. So I didn't even eat yesterday. I did finally get a bit of sleep. I needed more, but I woke up kinda in a panic. Watching this video was a calming and uplifting way to start my day. Thank you and God bless all the Doss family and all that are fellow followers~
I bet grandpa is a little worried about those kitties too! Grandma sure is looking pretty! And the garden area is so nice and neat and wow look at those plants! Those kitchen cabinets are gorgeous! I love the openness of the kitchen/living area.
Another great video from the Doss family. Thank you for the tour of the garden. It is beautiful. You have done a great job with it Ralph. And those blackberry hand pies looked so good. I could almost smell them cooking. It was great to see Shannon and Kyle. Thank you❤
Thank you for offering a camera. Oh that would be awesome. My 90 yo hubby and I bought our homestead a little over a year ago. And you've inspired us to raise our own pet chickens with benefits, eggs. I would put the camera to use.
MMMMM! Blackberries, anything is good with them! A scoop of ice cream? The dogs look good. Grandma, thank you for sharing your kitchen with us. Ya'll stay safe now, ya hear!
Ralph, the garden looks great. You have done a fantastic job of improving your soil. Now the next thing you need to do, is learn to make Biochar. When you add that, your plants will go crazy and produce a ton of food. You and your sons already to love to burn wood piles. To determine when a watermelon is ripe, it should have a big yellow spot and the closer to white that the yellow spot is the better. The part where it attaches to the vine should turn brown, not green and when you some of the yellow spot it should sound hollow. If you miss picking a zucchini, and it gets too big, both chickens and pigs, love zucchini. So you can turn your overgrown zucchini into eggs. Notice I didn’t say pork. I know you would never ever eat one of your piggy babies. 🐷 Those black berry hand pies looked sooo good. I was drooling. The grasshoppers will eat your garden plants. So its good for the dogs to do grasshopper patrols every day.😊
Take those male squash blossoms, wash, cut off stem and open flat. Dip in beaten egg then flour and salt and pepper. Fry in butter or oil until golden brown, and enjoy. The male flowers have a skinny stem. Female will have a knot or swelling that becomes the squash, as you already know. Squash blossom pancakes. Mother used to make these for Sunday morning breakfast, what a treat!
Wow, your garden is doin real good grandpa; your gonna have lot's a pumpkins. Grandma, them blackberry hand pies sure did look good. I'll be makin me a blackberry pie, once the berries is ripe, but that won't be til next month. God bless ya Grandpa and Grandma.❤
Good afternoon LeaAnn & Ralph! The garden is looking so good!! The blackberry hand pies look delicious… yum! I surely do love the puppies. You didn’t mention having found Baby…. I trust that you did, though. Blessings of Abundance in all that you need and of Good Health… to all the Doss family and to all the Adler Farms Family ❤
I'm no gardener but I grew up around plenty of people who were and your garden is gorgeous. I love the layout and design. Seeing your squash and melon blossoms makes my mouth water. Cantaloupe is one of my summer joys!
The handpies looked amazing! This is my Grandma’s Blackberry Dumplings Recipe - 4 cups blackberries 2 c white sugar 2 c water 2 tbsp butter 1 tsp cinnamon 2 c flour 1 tsp salt 1/4 c shortening 1 egg yolk 5 tbsp milk place blackberries, sugar, water, butter, and cinnamon in a large saucepan. Cook and stir occasionally over medium heat until berries have started to break down and form a sauce- about 20 to 30 minutes. Meanwhile, whisk together flour and salt in a mixing bowl. Cut in the shortening with a knife or pastry blender until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir the egg yolk into the crumbs, add the milk a tbsp at a time, tossing with a fork until the flour mixture is moistened, do not add more milk than is needed - when you squeeze a handful of the moistened pastry mixture it should form a ball. Divide the dough in half and shape each half into small balls. Drop balls into the berries - simmer the dumplings covered over medium heat for 15 minutes- keep a check on them and carefully push the dumplings down in the juice - do not stir or they will clump together. The dumplings are totally delicious
Yummo! The birds 'planted' black raspberries behind my garage! My daughter picks 'em & makes jelly & pies & freezes for later use too!! I hafta say I prefer the black raspberries!! Your garden looks fabulous!! We let our corn polinate on its own, as new ears appear there's still pollen left yo keep polinating!! Great video!!🙏💕🙏
What a garden that's brilliant well done. I love how you both get on with Shanon you treat her just like a daughter. When I was married that's how my mother in law was with me. It's lovely xx
Thank you Yvonne. I had a wonderful mother in law too. Miss her every day. She was one of a kind. ❤️ I have two very special daughter in laws too. Love them both like daughters.
Hi G'ma & G'pa, I feel strange calling you those names because I am probably a little older than you both! My father & grandparents always told me to pull the corn as soon as the top silks turn black/dark brown. Garden looks great-love watching your videos!
I loved the garden tour, crops were beautiful. Yummy on the blackberry pies, please share that pie filling recipe. Beautiful kitty & dogs. I DO like your crocs grandma Adler, red color is awesome!
LeaAnn, the blackberry hand pies looked yummy. It was great to see Kyle and Shanon there. Ralph, they make weights to put on the back of tractors to keep them from tipping. Your garden is doing great. Have a good evening.
When it comes to questions about your pumpkins and watermelons, "Grow Jack Outdoors " has several videos on how, why and when to... for both. He has won awards for the state for both. He and his father have been making videos for years. He is a great source for you and a very nice and helpful young man. At the end of the season he brings his big mellons and pumpkins to the elephants at the zoo. He's taught me a few things about growing both!
Hi Grandma & Grandpa, the Garden is looking really good, your hard work has paid off Grandpa. I can tell Grandma your really excited about those Pumpkins. The Blackberry hand pies look really good. They would be great with a little icecream. Nice seeing Shannon & Kyle, sweet couple. ❤&🙏
Love the garden walk and update and I really enjoy seeing Leann more too. I enjoyed watching Leann & Shannon making the blackberry hand pies. I kept hollering "your over filling them" but they didn't hear me. LOL. Thanks for sharing, Y'all have a Blessed day.
Lol. If I would have had parchment paper it wouldn’t have been so messy. Cooking spray just doesn’t clean up as easily. It called for two healing tablespoons. I think the recipe was a little (lot) off. 😂
@@grandmadossfarms Your right about that. I do love using parchment paper. Maybe you could cut larger circles of pastry for the 2 tbsp. filling or if you use that size put another whole circle on top. It would still be a hand pie but bigger.🙂🙂🙂
I love your house. So open and room for many. I can't get enough of the goat babies. You can shred and freeze zucchini. Great in dishes all winter. My neighbor thinks Ravioli comes from a can and today I will show her different
I really enjoy these extra videos. Seeing family together brings a smile to my face. None of my grown "children" live close or even in the same state. Thank you for all you share.
Good afternoon to you both. Grandpa your so funny, but I love it. You both interact so cute together. Always laughing together makes for a happy family. Please remember me in your prayers for me surgery on Wednesday morning. Love you guys 🥰🥰
@@grandmadossfarms thank you for your prayers. I had to cancel my surgery. My husband had to have emergency surgery. He spent hours in the ER on Tuesday night. Then sent him home early on Wednesday morning. He had to go back on Thursday morning with the same problem. Severe abdominal pain and vomiting. He ended up having surgery that day, his gallbladder ruptured spilling the contents into the abdomen. The gallbladder was dead, had gangrene and rotting. He was a very sick man. He’s 76 and never had surgery before. We are still trying to understand why they sent him home from the ER. The surgeon was very upset that that had happened. He’s home after having IV antibiotic every eight hours. Please keep praying for both of us. Love you guys ❤️❤️
Oh I can just taste the black berries now! Out here they call them Empanadas. I can remember my family making cobblers in dishpans for family reunions.we kids ate as many as we picked!! I'm 76 and sure miss those days
A very productive garden. I just noticed that Lee-Ann is a southpaw just like me. I noticed it when she was mixing the blackberries on the stove. They look yummy. I like your Monday vlog just like the others.
What a wonderful combo--Grandpa and Leanne plus Kyle and Shannon. Nothing better than family cooking. Y'all are great. So cute. Try stir frying Zuchini, onions and mushrooms plus a bit of teriyaki. Lo-cal, healthy and delish! God bless you. Love you all.
The garden is looking good. Looks like Y'all are gonna have a good harvest. Good seeing Kyle and Shanon. I know those blackberry pies were delicious. Rylie and Revel are getting bigger on every video it seems. GOD BLESS Y'ALL.
Ralph, the English lady you were trying to imitate is Julia Childs. I love it when y'all get together in your videos. Please tell Matt that he needs to get over to either K& S get out and do a video or over to Chad Adler Farms..LOL! They would be great videos. 😁❤❤❤
Hi there from Cornwall, UK. Just watched Chad over @ Adler Farms &he said to come and join, so here I am 😊 I watch Kyle and Shannon too, so now I have the hat trick 🎉 One idea for your blackberry pies - instead of folding them over and the filling spurting out when they are cooking, why not just put the blackberry filling on the bottom piece and then put another piece of pastry on the top and crimp it around? I bet they won't ooze as much, and I'm sure Grandpa wouldn't mind the bigger size 😂
The garden looks great! Everything is growing so nicely! It was awesome to see Kyle & Shannon at your house! Those pies looked delicious. I make them with peaches or Apples. I love how you both sit out and love in the pups! Love and hugs 🤗💕
Just love your channel, glad to see grandma in more videos. Nice to see Kyle and Shannon. I watch both Chad's and Kyle's channel also. Love all of you.
LeaAnne, l am gonna share the easiest cobbler recipe ever and it is so delicious! You can use sweetened fresh fruit with water added or canned fruit. Preheat oven to 350. In medium boiler, add enough water to fresh fruit to make it the same lfruit/liiqud ratio as canned fruit. Sweeten to taste. Cook on med. heat until sugar is melted. Set aside to cool. Meanwhile, melt 1/4 stick butter per cup of cooling fruit mixture in a glass casserole dish. I use a whole stck for the equivalent of a large can of peaches and 1/2 stick for a snall can. Put the dish in the oven until the butter has melted. Meanwhile, in a bowl mix 1 cup self-rising flour, 1 cup milk , 1 cup sugar, and 1 tsp vanilla. Pour this mixture evenly over the butter in the casserole dish. Spoon the fruit evenly over the batter mixture. Carefully pour the fruit liquid evenly over the ingredients in the casserole dish. Place the dish in your 350 oven for about 35 minutes for a small cobbler and about 45 minutes for a large one. After you make a couple of them (both canned and fresh fruit), it will be your go-to for every occasion and every type of fruit. I have made it with every fruit and berry.except citrus and bananas. My 10 year old granddaughter is so proud of herself every time she makes one. ENJOY!
Bravo! Oh how much I love your family! I burned my dinner I was watching and listening so intently and laughing at Ralph with all the questions about the hand pies and LeaAnn and Shanon's responses! Such fun folks y'all are!! Oh, the garden is absolutely rockin' it this year, too!! God Bless
I'll have to look up that recipe, those looked so good. Grandpa you should have let Grandma pick that zucchini it looked big enough. lol! The garden looks great. Hope all your cantaloupes and melons don't come ripe at the same time, you'll have a lot to eat! Thanks for the video! Love you guys! 💕💕
Best second video ever, lol 🤣. Thanks Shannon and Leann for the sweets. That sure looked scrumptious. "When" are y'all gonna pass the plate, lol 😂. Loved the party crashers and this family. Thanks as always for sharing and God Bless 🙏❤
Gotta love Rylie's little black eye. She is adorable. Rev will get some extra protein if he eats that grasshopper lol. I had a cat who loved to eat crickets and grasshoppers. The crunching sound is real lol
