@@Type-2-Diabetes I have a question, I didn't take a blood test yet. But I've noticed recently I've been developing warning signs of diabetes example: my urine smelled a bit sweeter, I lost 12 pounds unexpected and I do occasionally around the night time get itchy skin. I've been eating a lot healthy the past weeks and the itchy skin went away. I did a glucose test last Saturday and it was 104 which is determined to my understanding to be "prediabetic" but I took another one today and it was 86 now just to let you know I did those tests as soon as I wake up in the morning without doing anything. Should I just accept that I'm prediabetic or should I take an actual blood test to confirm? Thanks for the feedback.
Thank you. I have seen comments from type 2's in a face book group saying that they could not put on any weight. Now thanks to this video I understand why. It does make me wonder if the reduction of bata cells continues at what point are these people considered a type 1 rather than a type 2 ?
⚠️ Finally someone answered this question that I always wanted to know why I eat a lot and the more I eat, the more I lose weight. Thank you very much. 🎉🎉❤❤❤
Thank you very Dr Vladmir. Now I know why I'm losing weight. Highly appreciated your comprehensive explanation. Bcos of that I hv subscribed your channel. from Salih Malaysia
Hi Dr. Carvalho. So how can Type 2 Diabetes "gain" weight? I've been a Type 2 Diabetic for 10+ years. I take Metformin (Hydrochloride) -1000 MG 2X daily. I thought the Metformin medication was the one that causes me to lose weight. My last A1C test result was 7.8. What types of foods will help me "gain" weight??? So frustrated & depressed. Any suggestion or advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Melanie
My lack of sleep during the past five years has been caused by a new, stressful work that I started five years ago. Another thing to notice is that my girlfriend and I moved in together about the same time she had a 10-year history of weight loss. I have undergone a complete physical examination, but they were unable to identify the reason for my 40-pound weight drop. One of the symltom i get from time to time is i get lain in my stomach on my right upper side of my stomach. Could you please tell me on what could be causing my weight loss all over my body?
Good information Dr but I have a questión can we bulk up in muscle with out insulin reponce and fat gain or developing diabetes? Because we still need insulin
You can't put on muscles without insulin response, because insulin is the main anabolic hormone promoting growth of any kind. However, if you do a lot of resistance exercise and eat healthy you can avoid fat gain to some extent (not completely).
Thank you doctor am 21 since 19 I was diagnosed I haven't gained a pound of fat always looking skinny and lean it really makes me said because am so young my doc didn't prescribe insulin because am too young and had a crisis where the insulin couldn't dissolve causing me a sore in my thigh
Hi, sorry to hear that. Did your doctor tell you if you have type 1 or type 2 diabetes? Were you overweight and became skinny or you were always skinny?
It's different for people with and without diabetes. Those with diabetes that can't gain weight normally have impaired beta cell function. Depending on how much insulin your body is still producing, your doctor will tell you if you need to take extra insulin or not. I will make a video on that in a few weeks.
I have type 2 & was diagnosed on Xmas 2022. I lost a lot of weight since then. Thank you for making the video it helped . I’m on metformin but still losing a lot of weight & my blood sugar levels are high. How do I get it to a manageable level is it another medication I can take to produce more insulin?
Same exact thing I’m goin through n got me into even deeper depression family members cousins siblings dad keep giving me there comments saying yu look so skinny ?omg what’s wrong with yu ?did yu lose even more weight ? Like there all some perfect people like if you don’t fit somtin GOOD TO SAY DONT SAY NOTHING THEN”
Try to eat and drink less sugar. Instead of white rice eat brown rice. Instead cola drink water. Try berberine it helped me a lot. My bloodsugar is now good and im off the meds but im still losing weight. I dont understand it.

@@dalbirthandi2536 if you want to feel better go on a very low carb diet eat lots of protein with good fat to feel you up plus intermittent fasting. You can watch a channel call Beat diabetic to learn more. Good luck. 🙏
Hello i am a female and 25 years old my Symptoms started 5 years ago the docs always told me that i have microscopic blood in my urine but they didnt know the cause i was at a normal weight thin just as a kid iwas weighted a little Bit more but Not obese 2 years ago the nightmare started After everything i ate i Fell asleep and was constantly thirtsy and a hunger that no one can describe a year ago i suddenly lost 19 pounds and i am anorexic now and often have protein in my urine the docs always told me it’s Stress my liver hurts when i eat too much sugar and i get gastritis often then i bought a blood glucose meter and checked my fasting blood Sugar after 15 hours of not eating and it’s in a prediabetic state i really dont know if it could be Type 1 or 2
Hi, sorry to hear that. Did you check your A1c? If yes, and it's high, you can also check your beta cell function. If you want to know the differences between type 1 and type 2 you can check Type 2 Diabetes #19, I explained all the differences in that video. I hope you have access to an endocrinologist.
I’m 21 years and I was diagnosed with diabetes about 6months ago. I’ve never been obese or overweight on my life but I got the disease. I’m already thin, but I keep loosing weight. What’s the problem here? Please help
Sorry to hear that. Did your doctor tell you if you have type 1 or 2. With that age and fast weight loss I would expect type 1 diabetes, but of course you have to confirm. If it is and you want me to explain it, I will make a video on it.
I initially thought it wasn’t type 1 because I was able to bring my blood sugar down from fasting glucose of 18mmol/l to 9mmol/l within that 6months period without any medications. So kindly explain that too🙏.
Like how high are you guys sugars usually? What are your A1Cs? I'm trying to figure out what's going on with me. Sugar is usually 130 but a1c is 6.0 and I'm losing weight slowly.
If you have diabetes, it depends on how much insulin your body is still producing. If not, it will only depend on the food you eat. I'm not sure which one applies to you. Thanks
My bloodsugar is good and im off the meds but im still losing weight evendo im eating 3000 calories more then i should eat. Whats wrong with me? Can you give any advise.
Stem cell therapy still has a long way to go. I will explain it one day. And when you have type 2 diabetes, most people have both beta cell dysfunction and insulin resistance which means your problem will not go away if you don't take care of both. Surgery is not possible, you don't have anything to remove. The only surgery that can work for extremely obese people with diabetes is bariatric surgery, but that will mainly help you lose weight which in turn may reverse your diabetes (something you could do with lifestyle changes as well). Thanks
@@Type-2-Diabetes Recently in India they found some surgery in small intestines they do some surgery which will reverse Type2 Diabetes i heard. But not sure why everyone is not gettign it done iff it is working.
That's part of the bariatric surgery I mentioned. It's not new and not necessarily for most people. Unless you are very obese and are not able to change your lifestyle.
So wat shud we do wat foods got insulin or r there insulin pills or something need asap I spent 80$ in 3days eating food just meals eating well over 4000 calories daily n STILL LOSING WEIGHT n now jus feel embarrassed to go out even more then everyone feels like they got to Fukn comment n talk shit bout me wen doing everything I can to gain weight n just tired of everything
I think you should go to the hospital and check your beta cell function. Losing weight on 4000 calories is not normal. Check Type 2 Diabetes #21 to see the test that is commonly done for that.
@@Type-2-Diabeteswhat if your beta cells are working for 20% and your on low carb diet and still losing weight over time even do your calorie intake is for maingaining. Do you advise to still take meds like metformin or berberine? Which is better?
Hi, I’m 20 years old And I look like a skeleton now even though I eat like 4 times the normal person does because I really want to gain weight I’m tired of the bullying that I am getting from people bout my look I’m so depressed also doc I’m peeing like crazy specially at night like 3 times. What if my beta cells are totally gone what are the options for me to gain weight will taking insulin help? It’s crazy expensive here in our country. I really want to gain weight just to look normal again
Hi Lou, sorry about that. But it does look like there's a problem. Please go to the hospital and check your blood sugar. If it's high, you can check your beta cell function. If your body is not producing enough insulin, your doctor will prescribe it for you. I will make a video on this topic later.
