Follow the Goat Trail - Hiking along nomadic lands in Elmalı, Antalya in Northwestern Antalya region.
At the time of the publishing this video, this was one of the unique videos of all RU-vid as we have walked and hiked in a remote area of Turkey that is very sparse and only a few people go. So, I hope you enjoy this unique video as much as I have enjoyed while recording.
We hike in northern Antalya mountains, in the region known as 'Güğü Beli' (Güğü Pass) located in the Yapraklı village of Elmalı. Historically it was part of Lycia hence makes our hike a Northern Lycian walk, or in other words the other side of Lycian way. We follow the routes and trails of the local nomads/goat herders as they used to herd their goats in the mountains. We stop and refresh ourselves at the springs that used to water the animals.
