I'm looking into getting a hair system, and my aim would be having the freedom to have a style that can be worn down (unexposed) or swooped back (exposed) depending on my mood, rather than just sticking to one. With that in mind, would it be best to go with the system that provides the best hairline? If I were to go solely unexposed, I think I'd always be paranoid about my hairline being exposed (wind, swimming etc). One thing that's holding me back from getting a system is that my hair is naturally salt and pepper so colour matching would be a big issue. I would either need to keep the sides very short, dye my hair, or get a salt and pepper system made (though I look quite young so that may look odd). It would be great to see some tips on various manageable hair styles, as well as info for people with greying hair. Love your content!

Mine is non-exposed. It’s sooooo much easier. Plus, it suits my face better. It’s short, with the hair combed forward, and a bit to the side (hairline). I make it a little messy, overall, to look stylish. French lace base.

Curtis my man... You've come such a long way so proud of you! Love the long hair! You didn't mention though about the different kinds of ways to attach the units for exposed or unexposed. In particular unexposed since what this video is really manly about. Someone with an unexposed hairline who is going to take it on and off daily you know or once a week and so there be different kinds of ways to attach. Maybe you can do an edit or an update on that. also it would be so afraid to try one of your units I still go to the salon and make sure I'm getting one that is really good quality but I might down the road sometime. Do you have somebody that you can send it to that would like cut it to the shape of your head if he sends template?

Once in 14 years I was able to have a natural looking exposed hairline and feel good about it. 99.9% of the time the hairline doesn't look right. Your hair looks good but I can tell the hairline isnt real(maybe because I have been doing this for a long time) Even when others can't tell,exposing the hairline makes me uncomfortable because I can see it, so Ive accepted my limitations with bangs

Do you know what the shortest hair length that can be achieved with a system is? Obviously you can't do a buzz cut, but what about say an inch and a half long all over?

hey Curtis, I have a 0.03 thin skin poly. I have a problem, how do you hide the front hairline. I can still see the plastic line In the front. is it possible to hide that or is there always going to be a line of plastic there.

Is the sweating going to make it uncomfortable or just reduce the Piece’s lifespan ? So is it possible to have an exposed hairline on a custom all Swiss lace or French lace unit (with bleached knots and graduated density at the front), or must the front always be skin for that? I ordered an all Swiss lace stock unit from a UK company and whilst it was a good unit, I just couldn't figure out how to get an exposed hairline as the lace at the front hairline would lift if I tried to comb it back.

i have use both.. what i get is time... exposed = swiss lace I get about 2 months maybe 3 pushing it on the unit..... Unexposed= swiss lace I get 9 months !!!!! out of it one unit.. !!!. both looks great.

Hey bud.. I like the unexposed hairline for sure. I am 46 years old and I think it looks more natural that way for someone of my age. Plus, I’ve heard that the long-term effects of using the glue or adhesive on your scalp might possibly cause cancer. Which makes sense because it’s chemicals being absorbed into your body through your skin.. never a good idea. Have you ever heard of that before? I tend to sweat a lot on my scalp whenever I am active etc. How does the tape hold up on the scalp when you sweat? Im wondering if the tape also has chemicals? I’m thinking of doing this soon and I just want your opinion. Thank you!

Hey Curtis = your content is great. I like the way you explain in detail all the facets of buying, applying and wearing a system. Today I really appreciated the information on the virtues and drawbacks of the different types of hair pieces. I like your hair longer. Why? It looks more natural and the hairline is not the focus, but rather the length. I find most short cuts with a system look like a system unless there is enough length in your own “real” hair. A fade is too short and this is coming from a barber’s perspective. With your look now, I expect you have had greater longevity between haircuts too. You need less styling effort because it is essentially wash & go. I would like to see how your system looks with this length parted off centre, “looser” & less “tamed”.
