Ive always wondered what the new gimmick the green soul would have, and i knew it was like gonna move, but then i wondered "wait but how would that work if you also have to shield" This grid based system is probably the best way this could work, that too with having to hold z to do so.
I really do like this boss. Its a lot more different than most with the artstyle, which i can appreciate. The attacks also seem to have a lot of effort put into them, though the special attack may need a bit of balancing, with the bouncing scythes creating beams even when theyre in the air. However, the mechanic for the green soul is really unique compared to most i've seen, most concepts ive seen usually just make the shield to go 8 directions instead of 4, so that's quite nice to see. But, id recommend changing the music, as squimpus mcgrimpus/boogerman was revealed to be a pedophile.
