I feel like thats a common thing for streaming movies now, they get some names... a couple good scenes for a trailer... and then a completely forgettable movie with no direction.... Hopefully this is different.
Every once in a while a show runner/star would insist on the performers not making allowances for the studio audiences and just plow through the laughter. If lines were missed, so be it. It’s one of the reasons “Fawlty Towers” stands up so well - Cleese and the director would drill into the guest cast during rehearsals to keep up the pace. Makes a huge difference. 😊
Like SNL produced an episode of The Food That Built America! BTW - there is an episode of that show about the birth of Pop Tarts & their forgotten competitor
Looks like fun, especially with that cast and the mixed media feel to it! I wonder how it will be received where Poptarts aren't a thing (I've only ever seen them on TV).
