Well due to popular demand and because I was a good consumer and finally got the Roland TR-8S here is antother one of my acidic abominations. Maybe you like it ? :P
Yo man I dig your style. I myself just got my TD-3rD in the mail slot yesterday. Special notice is taken of your decor as well as that left hand path. Nice.
When you want to buy new you might think it is expensive. It is rediculous the prices are going up. I bought my tr8s second hand for 500€. If i sell now i will get 600 for it. But nice jam. I have the same gear. Tr8s with a shit load of techno kick samples. And a td-3bl. But i’m struggeling to get the sync to work right. I use a jack cable from a trigger assigned output to the sync in of the td-3. It kind of works.
Just bought a tr-8s and can not wait to add it to my studio. also have a red behinger td-3 so liking what you did with it in the video! :D awesome. expect new music from me in 2024 :) Great video.
Both are great drum machines. The draw is that the TR8s has so much more than 808's and 909`s... but that can be more than some need. Both ways are valid, and up to the needs of the performer
@@covtakeshi2389 Hey Takeshi, this is great. For me it is also a reminder to make the most out of this life even though sometimes it doesnt work out :D Cheers
Hallo …habe beide Geräte jetzt zuhause kannst du mir mal sagen wie ich die synchron laufen lassen kann …midi hab ich dran kriege es aber nicht eingestellt Danke
If I'm still here, I haven't been up here for a long time, I don't forget your jams a great inspiration for me, I see you're still in good shape, by the way you've published something, well you tell me, a hug 🤘☠️🤘
@@SethIsDavid thank you ! and If I have a microFreak too, how to synchronise the 3 instruments together ? maybe some OUT output on TR8S to microfreah IN ?
@@nycoshouse yup! TR8s MIDI out to TD3, then (separate MIDI cable) from TD MIDI Out/thru to MicroFreak MIDI In. This should synchronize all instruments to same clock source (that is, the TR8s internal tempo)
Maybe you can help me😀 How do I sync these 2 together?just got the td3 and the help would save me time I don't have to try and read and figure it out.I love all your videos also!!You rock
Jared Brooks Everidge use the behringer synthtool, connect your td-3 with usb and configure it so it can receive midi tempo changes, its standard off ..
Hey Jared, thanks man. I had the same problem when I got mine. You habe to change the sync mode to midi instead of internal. Check the manual, its in there. Once thats done the sync is perfect. Cheers 🍻
@@SuicideServer I need some help here too. I'm sending midi from mpc to the td3 and not ablet to start the td3. i want the internal sequencer of the td3 start as soon as i press play on the mpc but nothing happened. I dont want to use on midi mode because then the sequencer of the td3 doesn't work, that way i have to insert the notes on the mpc and use the mpc sequencer which isn't what i want.
Loved listening to this man. Came here because I've just bought the TD-3. Would you recommend the Roland to a total noob? Been a vinyl DJ for decades but thought I'd get some toys now too. ;)
Thanks man and good choice to move into hardware. The Roland definitely is a good choice if you are after the original Roland sound and it’s a lot of fun together with the TD-3. So yes do it 😁💪
Tricky you are welcome and I’m sure you gonna dig the combo just as much as me. Overall the TR8S is by far my favorite Roland gear of the last 20 years 😎
One of the critical things about the TR8S for me that is hard to understate is the fact that you can load your own samples! Overall it's a pretty intuitive machine without much menu diving but with a lot of functionality under the cover. Some of the stand-out features are: separate kit and instrument volumes, assignable effects per instrument, assignable master effects, 8 pattern variations that you can program and switch between on the fly with the variations buttons, and the recent firmware update that adds an 'undo' mode and some FM synth sounds. Also knob motion recording and per-step tone editing. It absolutely slaps
The Roland TR-8S is pretty much the one-stop-in-a-box goto for these classic sounds for people who want/need that pallet in hardware form. I do respect the whole "purist" thing but sometimes, the show's hardware has to go on as efficiently as possible. Roland got this one right; a "modern classic" emulation of ALL their classics.
Yeah its a worthy upgrade but both Roland boxes are fun in their own right. What you hear is all straight from the 8S even the 3 goes into the 8S for effects.
Hey Klangstube, danke Dir. Bei der TR8-S kannst du tatsächlich jeden Part entweder mit einem beliebigen internen Sound oder einem Sample belegen und das macht richtig Laune 😃🍻
Thanks man, and indeed its just midi clock from the Roland to the Behringer via midi cable and the audio from the 3 is going into the Roland for the fx stuff. Cheers
@@SuicideServer hey man ! Really nice jam ! Jut got these 2 today but having some trouble passing the sound from the td3 through the tr8s even with my midi cable ! Do you need to change something in the settings mode ? Thanks man !
Nizar Bezri Good choice my friend. Normall you just route the audio from the td-3 to the ext in of the roland and turn up the external volume with the knob up left. You can also dial in fx and gain in the kit setup page. I also have midi clock from the Roland to ghe TD-3, make sure to check the manual of the 3 how to set it to midi clock. Thats about it. Cheers and have fun 🍻
