I think this song lends itself well to this style of music. The first time I heard this song I assumed it was from a Broadway show of some kind. The pauses are kind of wide, like they are also in person cues, the lyrics seem to be referencing a pre-known situation or storyline, and the style of both of these people's singing sounds projected and spaced out, like it was recorded while they were walking around. I don't know. Sounds better this way!
