*Reverse threaded because people naturally twist off the caps (like yourself) in the normal way. This causes it to sometimes open up when you are just tryna get the lid off. So reverse threaded stops it accidentally happening.*

Anyone looking for a comparable silver ink that works great as a refill for these, try MTN liquid silver- very juicy. Edit to comment on 7:23- AP is now charging $250 for the same Marsh that was $35 when this video was made 4 years ago.

I'm not sure I have went the past 25 years writing and have never tried a Uni... I finally copped a silver and gold from AP and the silver has become my favorite marker. Writes smooth and streak free. If you have never tried one of these, don't be an idiot like me and wait 25 years. This marker is dope.

I lost my Marsh about a decade ago. Found it in a friends garage. Once I got my bearings, it eventually became usable again.

Yo GR, the markers are reverse threaded because the caps fit on so tight! People struggle to get them off (you even struggled with it in the video) so they try twisting them open. The caps are so tight that if they threaded the pen normally people would accidentally unscrew the paint resevoir trying to get the cap off.

in a pinch, the Sharpie oil based marker with the chisel tip produces a similar writing experience. The uni will always be the best of course, but the sharpie oil based paint markers are readily available in places like Home Depot, target, etc here in the US.

Its funny, with the amount of ink they give u, they might as well make a shorter body! That would be dope. A little px30 shorty. Out the factory they last pretty long, if u top it off that thing will be infinate. It does suck that the nib falls out .my friend told me, on the fly, in a pinch u could use a cigarette filter! Not for long tho of course. Ive been playing around with white marsh and pilot ink. Shits fun and lasts a long fucking time! Peace ap. U guys are great

just copped a gold Japanese from FB, by which I mean I ordered it 6 weeks ago and MAYBE I'll see it today

I find most Japanese made markers are reverse threaded, btw. The 15mm broad tipped ones from 20+ years ago were already like that. (Brand sticker long gone.. I think they were 'On The Run' / From Here To Fame markers - still have 2 in perfect working condition . The new MTN Marcador models are the exact same. They use the 'fish hook' nibs though, same as the Edding chalk markers - non-reversible)

Had to find out the hard way that the marsh ink that art primo has now is the K grade, not the T-grade (it says it on the sight, it was my mistake not theirs) which is petroleum based and not oil based. It won't mix with the uni paint or magic ink so don't try it. basically ruined the nib. I cleaned it out and replaced the nib and did all magic ink and it's cool again. Any chance the T grade is going to come back at some point, maybe after the pandemic slows down more? (knock on wood) stay safe out there fam!

I heard adding a little white marsh/ uni paint to a silver helps it look a little pearly

The threading on the marker is like that because if it was righty tighty lefty loosey then you would open the whole marker trying to take the cap off

It's a good marker but its really hard for me to get the cap off. Everytime I try it hurts and it makes my skin red almost to the point where it could start tearing my skin.
