You don't know how happy I am to see scan mode, nothing to scan. Your vids on this scanner were so helpful. Thought I was going to go nuts reading this book. And your right. There is no flow chart to go by. Thanks again. And keep the vids coming.

I have my first scanner BCD996P2, I'm trying to understand the logic System-Group-Channel layouts. This helped a lot, thank you.

Trunking is coming soon to my area and I'm waiting on this jewel to arrive in the mail. I read the manual and had some idea of the setup but seeing it demonstrated in your video gives me the confidence that I can transition to the different format. Conventional is just nested files - like mp3 collections or document storage. 73

I am not a scanner guru, just a computer nerd. I have a customer that lost all their channels somehow and I am trying to reprogram. I put all the channels in one group, it it seems to stay on just one channel and not rotating through. Please advise. You tutorial tauntauns me more in 1/2 hour than all the manual did in a day. thanks.

I have the handheld version, BCD325p2. I found that the XT computer program by BUTEL works great for programming.

How can you make it pickup conventional & the newer digital system? Scan both??

What about digital channels ? It won't allow me to put it on digital scan only analog

Thanks for the video. I have successfully programmed my frequencies into my groups, etc. per your video. But when I hit scan it goes to a Public Safety Channel with a SO:12 and doesn't scan my groups or my SO:1 and SO:2. There is no SO:12 programmed. How do I delete it or get it to scan my so:1 and so:2 ?

a little late for this but when entering names you can press the no. key once to blank the selected letter or press it twice to blank the hole name hope this helps someone
