I just purchased the R3 2 weeks ago the price was right for me I’m really impressed with it it detected police over a mile away I’ll upgrade when this just don’t do the job anymore.
The "best" windshield mount Radar Detector on the market rn I believe is the Escort Redline 360C, gives really good range but is ridiculously expensive, if money is no object sure go for it, but I got a Uniden R7 which is way cheaper but offers almost just as good in terms of range but is way more responsive/sensitive, so it notifies me of radar quicker than the Redline 360C. My buddy has the Redline 360C and hasn't regretted the purchase, and my RUN has also saved me numerous times in the past... If you can wait for a few months I say wait for the Uniden R8! Think of it as the updated R7 with better performance all around! (More expensive than R7 but still way cheaper than Redline 360C)

I clicked the link to my purchase and it brought me to the same product but this time for $96. I bought it again. We'll see what happens. The original purchase has shipped though.
He missed several critical features and talking point and mostly talked about what was showing on the screen… which you can do for yourself. For example, what features are on the outside of the box. Well how do those features compare to previous or competing models, do the work as advertised… missed talking about the mute button on the charger… showed it but didn’t mention it as a alternative to the side press button he didn’t like. So now I ask you, what was the point?

Have the R7 and R8 in another vehicle, the Uniden R7 is a better value and if you already have the R7 don't really need to buy a Uniden R8, see nothing on the R8 that would justify the $699.99 price tag when you can get the R7 for $480 or less. Uniden claims the R8 is 2 db to 3 db more sensitive or 20%-30% than the R7, I haven't seen anything that proves or disproves their claim.
Have a look on the RDForum for some help and answers. R7 150 International is now a stunning update, and many people with R8s are using the R7 with 150 international in preference. There are many features on the R7 right now that the R8 may never get.
I want to like this video but so many times you read what the viewers can read or have read for themselves. It’s on the screen for goodness sake. There wasn’t a whole lot of new information
