Uniden scanner programming and frequency searching ACMA in Western Australia

A quick video about my workflow for searching for frequencies to listen to in Western Australia using the Uniden USDS100 Digital scanner. In any country other than the USA and Canada, there are no databases built into these radios, so you need to hunt around and find them yourself. But that can be a lot of the fun.

@@CarstenBauer USDS my first ever scanner. Ive got quite a bit of analogue Freq’s programmed, still using sentinel. Any help with finding Dmr or Nxdn freq’s in Perth ?

@@murraysimmons2876 Look at the emissions designator. Or use the Site location map and filter by designation7K60FXE for example is one.

This looks brilliant I brought this so I could have a listen and play around at home. I had a stroke so some things I can’t do is there an easy way to start this from the beginning might be able to help me

Why do you use Proscan specifically over Sentinel? is it easier to maintain the favourites list? Other pros/cons...
