Fairly new to your channel I'm liking your work and to me that radio looks great with the blue display and LEDs..you do good work I'm a regular subscriber now I'll definitely look you up soon for CB updates!!!
I have an older two button President Washington. I don't see any glue... When did they start with that stuff? Thank you for sharing your skill and experience!
Just lift one leg of the components instead of removing them for the clarifier mod. It's still fully factory reversible that way without having to find parts.
I send a bag back with the parts with instructions on how to reverse it. The reason why I remove them is because I've shipped back radios where the component has made contact again either by bad shipping or customers messing around with the components. Lifting components works if you're doing it for yourself. Also if you can't undo a clarifier mod without having parts then you shouldn't be working on radios.
@@pulsarcb Ah, well as long as the parts aren't thrown away I guess it's on the user as to what to do with them. Maybe stash them safely in the case somehow if there's space. Unlocking the clarifier is the one thing I tend to leave in a radio anyway. Just stabilize and align it if needed. If there's more than two people on a channel odds are at least one will be off frequency to the others.
