Another great episode! Chris, you indeed brought some great discussion to a topic that maybe isn't a big area of interest of yours (ie, uniform numbers). I especially liked your story about how 97 became your go-to number. Paul, if you're following this comment thread, perhaps you could do a lede or two the stories behind players' choices of uniform numbers. And/or get submissions from Uni Watch readers on how they developed an affinity for a particular number in their sports-playing days.

Chris- I have an identical Gretzky All star jersey in my collection. I love it!! Great show. I listen in the car mostly but caught some of this in on video. And yes, you guys could both use haircuts. Keep up the good work.

The Toronto Raptors' DeAndre' Bembry wears #95, the same as the Raptor (the mascot), who wears it because the team was founded in 1995.

Overall I enjoyed the show. With the topic, I thought there might have been a brief mention of Bernie Parent's 00 in the WHA or perhaps the mention of the CFL for football 0/00 from Chris.

Should be noted that Damian Lillard wears single 0 and Carmello Anthony wears double 0, and not the other way around. Technically, the Blazers call it “Number O” for Oregon (or Oakland, where Lillard is from)

Chris, you're Quarantine taste is impeccable! My family loved Schitt's Creek and even though The Office took a while because my mother and I had to find times that my father wasn't home/awake because he didn't like the show, I loved that too.

Adidas selling Reebok is like when Ford Motor Company sold Jaguar, Aston Martin, Land Rover and Mazda. This will hopefully give them the chance to rebrand and become successful again.

0 and 00 in mathematical terms are the same number; nothing. In a visual sense on a uniform, they're very different and distinguishable from one another. I think it would be cool to have both 0 and 00 on a roster, especially in the same pitching rotation.

There have been times where Indycar (maybe NASCAR and other top level auto racing series too) has had two cars on track at the same time with "mathematically" the same number: one with a leading zero and one without.

Reebok had the NFL and NHL for most of the 2000s. They lost the NFL in 2012 and the NHL in 2017.

Haven't watched yet so apologies if you covered it. I'm a Buckeye fan, and while I'm not usually about contrived "traditions", I like what they did after the NCAA started allowing 0. They're calling it the Block O and making it an earned reward kinda thing. Gimmicky? Sure. But damn if the jersey itself doesn't work and why shouldn't the 0/O confusion have a positive side effect for once?

Warriors as a nickname is inoffensive in and of itself; we look no further than the NBA for proof. The imagery is key in determining public sensitivity. One would assume Greek or Roman imagery is fair game and should not offended any cultures based on the association melanin of the source material.
