Love the sound of these! I finally picked up some HMX Xinhai with the heavier springs for a more muted board and they really brought it to life. These sound like they would fit in almost any build!

Oh, right? HMX switches are so distinguishable, yet not too aggressive to suit literally any build. I think my joker is the Swift at the moment! But it's time I check on the Xinhais too ^^

These were my first HMX switches and I love them. I also enjoy the violets from my Rainy75. I'm definitely going to have to try more!

Are the Violets noticeably higher-pitched IRL too? For some reason I imagine they are much lighter and higher-pitched :)

Love the sound, its kinda muted or dulled all around while still giving a tactile noise. When compared to the EVA switch i felt that it had more precence while it was not as sharp sounding as some of the others in the video. The colors are awesome too :3 i was suprised to see interference with cherry profile caps i thought that was a non issue with most 😅 quality review as always ^^

Yeah, the interference was totally unexpected, lucky that there are less and less North-facing LED keebs are released nowadays ^^ It's so hard to put the differences into words, but I think yours was even better than my attempt! :)

I am using Akko cs piano. I like the typing feel on this switch. Are there any switch like that but more high end than the Akko piano switch. Thank for your answering 🥰🥰

you can try the Vertex V1's, they are more muted and smoother then the pianos. Also the WS Morandi's if you have time to hand relube them. Gateron Oil Kings are classics so you can't go wrong with them. But, C3xEqualz Banana splits are probably my favorite deeper pitched switch followed by the V1's

I agree with the Vertex V1, and maybe some of the mid-heavy HMXs, like Swift can be a nice upgrade/change of path. I personally had a very bad experience with Oil Kings (that's why I include them, just to feature a 'contrast' for bad sounds haha). But the newly released Gaterons definitely sound and seem to be better. :)

To me it sounded just like Canglan, EVA sounded slightly deeper... I like the sound, weight and travel on this, imma try to get my hands on these. Are they Unikeys only deal?

Yeah, it's so hard to put these slight differences into words, I still have to work on expressing them! :3 If I remember correctly, they're available and Unikeys, Ktechs, Keebzncables, Novelkeys and as I recall I saw them at Monacokeys (for EU) too?

Yes they definitely were too heavy for my liking so I replaced the springs, but YESSSS they are still smooth and super tight after I already typed the heck out of them! :D Great video as always!! ❤

@@thoccnology That's kinda hard to say, each has its own likeable feeling on the fingies... so it's about thock/clack or tick? I now have these in my Gem80 with MOA on for a mid-range clacky sound and the Swifts in my Galaxy80 with XDA on for a high-pitched ticky sound :D

sounds pretty similar to my Canglan v2 just with a heavier spring and I prefer the Macchiatos out of all of them. its the reason I didn't buy these, they sound too similar to the recent HMX releases and I need lighter springs. I did think about getting these and spring swapping to a 2 stage lighter spring, that would be very interesting.

I agree, 2-stage springs define such a nice, snappy feel! I wonder if the new releases will feature 2-stage springs in the future?
