Those V4R Speaker/Strobes are pretty awesome, nice choice for the system! I happen to have one myself, and it's a pretty cool device. I don't think they can be synced, unless you have the -ADAS version. From what I am aware, those sync themselves, and do not need a special sync module (from what I could gather from one of the data sheets for one of the sync devices). That voice evac panel is pretty neat as well, especially the security part of the system. Is there another set of contacts that would tie into the building's security system (when the security system is activated, the message plays from the panel through the alarm speakers)?
Sorry if this sounds a little silly... What do you mean by alarm relay? I have a Potter PFC-6006 and maybe someday get a voice evac panel like the one you have. :-)
I was looking at the manual... (www.pottersignal.com/product/manual/5403559_PFC-6006.pdf) and I see what you are saying. It appears that panel does not have a relay output. You might want to take a 24v relay and connect it to your NAC, so when the NAC activates, the voice message will play. The NAC would have to be silence-able.
+Craig Baker I uploaded all of the files to soundcloud: - All Recorded Messages: soundcloud.com/tornadofreak/sets/voice-evac-messages - All tones: soundcloud.com/tornadofreak/sets/voice_evac
It looks like you have went through a lot of trouble to install this alarm setup at your house. All is nice with the alarm, but what happen if you have a real fire? Will all the noise from it actually stop a real fire form burning down your house and possibly causing injuries or death? It appears you are vary committed to safety but why have you not installed a Fire Sprinkler System. Not only will it's flow switch activate your fire alarm upon water release, but they have proven to significantly reduce property damage, injury and death as a result of a fire. A fire sprinkler system will actively combat the flames, reducing the smoke and toxic gas production and afford the time required for the occupants to escape safely. Several states have already made it mandatory all new residential construction will have a fire sprinkler system install.
+Mark Nisula Well, the reason that there is no fire sprinkler is because my house was built in the 1980's and has not been remodeled since 1994. I would have no issue installing a sprinkler system if it was new construction, but it was not.
+tornadofreak1994 And if they are V4R__ADAS devices, you are one lucky guy to have them, as you would be the first person to show devices with SS ADAS Sync-Circuit strobes. You can use a System Sensor MDL, or any PS/FACP that has the System Sensor sync protocol.
