I went to a Christmas party at a zoo back in December of 2017. The party involved a fog machine. And what it did was trip the fire alarm system and the fire department came!! The alarms at that location were the SpectrAlert Classics.
Me myself, I would have put a slightly higher value heat detector in the attic since attics get hot in the summer but just saying. Keep up the good work man 💪
i saw something here that i was confused by. when you tested the smoke detector in the basement it took a large amount of fog for the alarm to go off? in england even a piece of paper causes the alarm to activate
I see a lot people having commercial fire alarm systems installed in their houses here on RU-vid a lot and honestly, I think its really cool. My only question is what do they plan to do with it if they move out?
To answer your question, I completely removed the fire alarm system and made sure the origional home security/fire system was returned to its origional configuration
Dale Nuss i am definitely taking an extended break from youtube, not sure for how much longer. In terms of filming in the location in this video, it will not happen again
tornadofreak1994 ah Ok, you must’ve moved. When you move it’s kind of a pain to put a system like this back up. Are you still working as a fire alarm tech?
Hahahaha I guess the fire alarm system has a smoke detectors in it. all my rooms have a smoke detectors accept for the kitchen, the living room, my bathrooms, and my laundry room doesn't have smoke detectors.
My high school has the exact same voice message. We recently got a new high school, and they installed speaker strobes instead of horns which I'm so grateful for. I think it's the spectralert advance L series something something, not good with alarm names. The voice in the message sounds the exact same, however it states: "A fire emergency has been reported in the building. While this report is being verified, please leave the building. Use the stairways only, do not use the elevators." I guess they make a variety of messages for each fire alarm system?
@@tor94 I know this was from a while ago however where do you find all the links for the speaker strobes, specifically the one in this video as I like the voice on this message played in your video. I know several companies have them for download on their website, is that where you got this one?
I do not work for SimplexGrinnell any more, and dont see it happening in the foreseeable future. So there probably wont be any more fire inspection vids.
When the warranty on the system runs out after it was originally installed then the alarm company who currently holds the contract with the town, city, county, or state can test them as well as make repairs. That's why you see videos on here where the panel is Simplex but there might be a spectrAlert classic, Wheelock AS, or something else sprinkled in to replace dead devices.
Yes! Also, there are 2 Notification Appliance Circuits (NAC). At the time, the horn strobes were one one NAC in the basement with the FACP and the remote was on the second. The voice evac was controlled by a addressable relay module or relay within the panel.
Noooooooooo and the only reason you did something wrong 9th was to get 💯 and I would have been there to get it for you and I was just going through the process of getting a good job at a college that
