Good job Thabo, it’s great to see you moving along and is inspiring me to get mine happening. Cameras go in tomorrow, along with my 12v power system. Air Horn went in this afternoon.

I'm assuming you have gone from Unimog expedition vehicle builder to "project manager". Good idea to have specialist input when our creativity outweighs our technical ability. Nice tank size there, not a mm wasted.

Nice job but one comment the 45 degree weld on the 90 degree bolted to chassis does not seem to have a curve so the tank looks to be touching the 45 degree straight line. Eventually with vibrations it could leak. Also when I worked in Mercedes rubber is always good to add for padding and no vibrations all around it. But maybe you guys did add the rubber I could not see.

Hi, I checked that carefully, the tank curve does not touch the 45% and there us a backing plate that gives a broad surface to tighten the tanks to. Alos you're right, I have rubber all around.

What's the best way to tie together 2 diesel fuel tanks? Did you use Six-Port Fuel Valve? Six-port fuel valves are used where 2 tanks supply a single engine, and a return to each supply tank is required.

Jan Nowak The problem with that is that if it stops working in the middle of the desert it gets complicated, I have a pump that moves fuel from the aux tank to the main tank, no matter what, I can sort it.
