North Topeka close to Herington Yard trains coming from the east can stay on north side of Kansa River and go west or north. They can also crossover to south side of Kansas River and also go west and eventually more south. This bridge was originally built by Chicago Pacific , Rock Island and Pacific Railroad. I think this is third bridge to be rebuilt from flooding. This bridge which is now owned by Union Pacific will raise up off of the piers. I seen the bridge raised once in 1993 when there was flooding on the Kansas River. I have it on VCR. I had to blur out car in the video because I happened to get driver in video. 89F or 31C During the day is okay, but leave before dark.
