Let’s get a fill of the scintillating armour yellow paint of the Union Pacific. Many of you will not agree with my belief that the Union Pacific is the Greatest Railroad but it is strictly my opinion. It is a name that has been around since the 19th Century and is synonymous with building our great nation. It has been a successful company known for its big steam engines, big double engined diesels, sleek SD40-2’s and those lovely winged SD70M’s. Today’s Union Pacific is not the same as it was over the years. It does have its problems. However, superficially, it still looks dazzling to see that yellow paint on the locomotives (especially clean ones) showing the proud Union Pacific name. The new paint scheme is minus the front “wings” which I think is an obvious oversight. The added wings would really make those locomotives look stunning.
