Everyone seems so relaxed. We need that here at home in America. Some Rakia, some wine, fresh cheeses, farm food. We have that here, but there is a lot of stress in the country because of COVID and politics. Send those good vibes here.

We never spoke Turkish Erjan , dont gave wrong information, Albanian always spoke Albanian , we never spoke turkish or not even try to learn Turkish, very important Erjan to gave to wachers here proper information .
He meant to say the administrative language was turkish, which is true. Plako, është vështirë të kujtosh të gjitha fjalët dhe termet korrekte kur je para kamerës dhe kur anglishtja nuk është gjuha jote e par.

Only in Albania you can drink a lot of rakija and drive! I am glad you are having a great time; there are many beautiful turistic places outside Korca.

As for me - a little srange starting a supper fron sweet dishes and move to spicies. It is like start from strawberry milkshake, apple pie and icecream and go to BigMac with frenchfry
Great videos David! Just one tiny little thing. The letter J in Albanian makes a Y sound. So: Er-yan is how you would pronounce the young man's name. Same with Kru-yë and so on. Big respect from Sarasota Fl. Love your channel

@@daron8982 NOPE. The plates in Albania are not full only for tourists. They are full for Albanians themselves. The only different thing in these videos, is that they are letting him to try all their foods.
This goes to his guide, who does seem like a decent guy, the reason " everyone seems so happy" in Korce is because most of the people are Albanian Orthodox and Greek Orthodox and are enjoying being around their own faith, they are hanging out in front of this amazing Church, the weather is nice, and they are enjoying that good Balkan food with a few shots of rakia and a few rounds of beers to enjoy the time that much more. I'm Greek myself but my neighbor 2 houses down is ethnic Greek from Korce, and she says once you go to Korce, see how wonderful and endearing the people are, see how amazing that church is and enjoy that good food and weather at a price even cheaper than Greece, you will want to move there. Looking at this video, she may be on to something. Much love from your Greek and Orthodox brothers in Chicago!
Albanians were occupied by the Ottomans but never spoke Turkish. They spoke Albanian but it wasn’t an official legalised language due to that Occupation.
@Cornelius Cornea Nimic,doar că ghidul știe ce zice. Albanezii n-au de ce să sară în sus, pentru că dintre popoarele balcanice, ei au îmbrățișat în cea mai mare parte cultura și religia otomanilor și au fost cei mai fideli executanți ai lor vis-a-vis de ceilalți vecini ai lor și nu numai.
Erjan is enoying.....he seems to promote the ottoman empire and culture more then he speaks about the european Albanian culture! As if the history of the Albanian has started with the presents of the ottman occupation. So please Erjan, if you understand just a fraction about history, dont sell/present your country in a wrong way. We know you have to earn some money , but dont sell your country like it is a province of turkey. Shame on you!!!( Btw My statment has nothing to do with Relgion or Faith)
Erjan , stop with ottomans men , we are Albanians , rakia is Albanian , building, architecture and many things are Albanian , off course is a little ottoman influence, but don't forget men , We are Albanian , we have are culture , are traditions, soo please stop making everything ottoman, ottomans they were invaders, we did fight with them 500 hundred years.
that is too much raki 8 shots is too much for two people and you did 2 of them. They should downsize to 6 or 4 . usually I do 2 shots with my morning coffee and 2 for lunch and may be 3-4 for dinner.

I agree, I drove across the country with family and it was not difficult to access. Beautiful place to visit for a stay, along with this whole majestic country.
