This is beautiful ! My husband sang a song to our daughter also on her wedding. She was supposed to sing as a response to her Dad's song but she got so emotional that she cried..., but it was one of the most touching moments of our lives. People were in tears.
To those of you who damn the father for singing to his baby girl; that song was all about her. This will be the highlight of the wedding and she will be the envy of all of her friends. That was amazing!
I think through reading all these comments that the bride and groom have also commented and this is directed to them. Your entrance was phenomenal. I cried through the entire video and I know that I will never forget it. Please, please do not let the negative & rude comments that have been posted linger in your mind for even a moment. Remember the joy you felt that beautiful day. Anyone who would say anything derogatory about such a amazing gift must be struggling so much with something in their own life. I've always thought that the father walking the bride up the aisle was the father's moment. I used to sing in the church choir when I was a little girl and sang at tens of weddings, and looked at the faces of so many proud daddies as they walked their daughters up the aisle. I got married in secret with only two strangers as witnesses, and I wish so much that I'd had a proper wedding so my dad could have walked me up the aisle. I know it was a disappointment to him that he didn't get to give his only daughter away. And now he's gone and it's too late. She is blessed to have such a loving, thoughtful father and I'm sure she knows it.

Congrats Danny and Katie. Not surprised by your Dads voice. Always sounded wonderful in Church growing up. Not many people would expect him to have the voice he has, especially for people who know him and got yelled at on football field growing up haha. Have not seen you guys since high school. This video is beautiful. I can only hope and pray that my Dad is still around for my wedding. This is the song I had picked for me and my Dad to dance to at my wedding. We found out that he has stage 4 lung cancer and only has 8-12 months to live. I'm heartbroken.
Natalie I found out 4 yrs ago in August that my Dad also had stage 4 Lung cancer. They gave him maybe around 6mos. Diagnosed in August. Left us on Oct 13th. Sad. Very sad. I cried watching this video, did you?

Thank you for sharing. Most of all thank you for focusing on this very special moment of the wedding that gets little attention. The emotions that a father must feel walking down that aisle to give away his precious daughter. I will never look at that moment again and not remember this lovely gift from your father. He has a wonderful voice! As the mother of two daughters I will now view that "slow walk" as a cherished moment and not just some "hurry up" moment to get to the ceremony. To them that is putting the father down for taking a part into his daughter's wedding , all I can say you must not have much of a relationship with your father . This is treasured memories for sure ... my Father passed when I was 1 year old and she is blessed to have this ... Nothing like your parents , the most purest Love any child will ever know other than God ...

I would have been crying all the way down the aisle... This bride did not seem affected at all. I loved my Dad and I miss him more then words can say. Maybe when her father is no longer there for her... She may appreciate this moment more.
