I think it’s also worth noting that clutch and hand brake state persists after Tommy getting out of the car. That means you can activate hand brake, select neutral gear and the car won’t move without a driver. The same with released hand brake but selected gear. Very realistic imo.
Cukier is an old member of polish Mafia Game community, he were posting some mods and curiosities on Polish forum MafiaTown from something about 2007. Such a great guy.
4:11 Something interesting I found from reading the physical manual of Mafia is that police cars supposedly have radios in them that the police can use to make you wanted. I never noticed this because it often doesn't occur even when a police car is chasing you, so I'm unsure if there needs to be a certain criteria filled or if there's a random % chance of it happening or even if it was a scrapped beta feature (the back of the box has screenshots of the beta HUD, so it wouldn't be out of place haha). I made the mistake in a recent video I made about mafia and assumed that the decision for police cars to not feature transmitting radios was intentional to preserve immersion but I guess not. am I just living under a rock and is it just a widely accepted fact that the police cars do have radios in them in game that the cops can use? epic video BTW, its nice to have a consistent mafia 1 youtuber haha
my guess is they have radios but are very hesitant to use them, they only call for backup after losing a lot of patience. however no radios are seen or heard so it could just be up to our imagination what alerts the whole force
@@n0ughtyb0y after further testing the radios definitely exist, or at the very least a trigger aside from a phone box. I got a cop car to come after me in the country and I'm certain that no foot patrols spotted me commit a crime and I got wanted, I just wish I knew what triggers the wanted stats specifically aside from the phone box haha
I just hope the remake's devs know of all these details and will include them. It was the small details you don't even think about when playing that were making the gameplay have so much depth and bring so much fun even without any side quests and activities.
they recently announced there will be handful, like losing leftover ammo when reloading, maybe they watched part 1 of this series, we'll have to wait and see
I don't know this a detail or just bug, but if you start shoot and will quickly press "S" for back and "Space" for jump and keep clicking mouse1, you'll have a mega super fast shots, even with pump shotgun, and quick reloadin', just practice, and you'll belive me, but don't forget, do these buttons pressed and clicks at the same time. Have fun. P.S. (Sorry for my bad English).
I did not know about the detectives attacking you and the police cars saving you from small crimes or about cops calling using phones. About honking to other cars, it only works if you're over the speed limit otherwise they don't move. Also you could add as a fact that you can whisle with the same button while on foot. Whistling is completely uselss as far as I know. EDIT: And I did not know you can shoot granades :O
Not useless. It works with Paulie in that mission with the bank :-) If you don't have a car you can whistle, makes no difference. He'll come out anyway.
This is more of a bug but, if you kill a cop while he's still closing the car door before he goes out he will leave the cop car with an open door but he will still lock it, so after that you actually have to unlock an open car door before you can drive the car, it's kinda ridiculous :D
Same thing with every other "locked" car - before Ralphie or Bertone teach you how to steal it. In that mission with Salvatore you can kill that dude in his silver limousine - door still open. But you have to ask Salvatore to "open it" :-)
@@obywatelcane6775 i think you can drive every car when you kill the driver. even those you didn't learn to steal. With Salvatore it's more like a feature. It's the only way you can learn stealing the silver fletcher
don't expect too much. many buildings are only two textures, many don't have roofs, some chimneys don't exist - the smoke just starts in the air. You weren't able to fly or view the city from above so they modeled the city completely from a "ground" perspective. you can even spot some odd buildings with enhanced draw distance from oak hill viewing down to the city.
Gender Fluidity XD Awesome video. I also made a video on Mafia, just my impressions of the remake vs the original. There is a tendency to call these things bugs but I'm pretty sure a lot of them are intentional. It's hard to make such fun and amusing bugs, usually bugs are bad. I can't believe I am still learning about this game. I love your music choices
nicely spoken video with some interesting takes and observations. it will probably make some younger minded gamers salty lol I'd call one or two points nitpicks but you're self-aware about it, good job expressing your thoughts.
@@n0ughtyb0y yeah that's what I meant, why not though? some of your videos get good views though sometimes if you monetized it btw you mentioning how to drift around was the first time I've ever seen that, I mean everybody knows about the secondary steering thing but I never thought drifting was even possible, good job.
if you like music you are on the right channel, I have many more MV's planned. first 3 songs are different versions of "Chinatown my Chinatown" by Stephane Grappelli Red Nichols Chelsea Constable fourth song is 'Coucou' by Django Reinhardt and the outro song is called 'Odyssey'
The stuff added to the remake only detracts from the spirit of the original game - which finality was moving heart wrenching. How many games can do that. No CGI nor fancy combat system can do that because this ain't about these pointless frills. For this the remake will be a disaster, because they totally miss the point in the first place. The remake made itself out to be just another action oriented mafioso game, with too over the top characters, dimes a dozen, which Mafia 1 is not The real Tommy is the anti-hero, with flaws & all, down to earth relatable guy who you could relate to, not this new fake one. You listen to the new Tommy you just feel something off about him The original Mafia was the diamond in the million that stood out for its humanity - not this wannabe pretender. If they were any good, prove they can stand on their own talent, their own independent merit, make their own masterpiece - instead of exploiting true fans of Mafia 1, pretending to improve upon original work that was not theirs in the first place.
I need DLC for mafia DE, also some upgrades for freeride, because literally there is nothing to do, when i finished all side questions... freeridne in original was much way better and interesting than in reamake. Hangar13, shame of u!
