I would love to see a German names list!!! My husband is German and I really want to incorporate a German name for our future kids. One I love so far is Liselotte for a girl (pronounced lee seh lot uh.....approximately lol) for boys I like Felix and Friedrich.
I speak German so maybe I can help? Here are some names that work in both languages: Boys: Felix (obvs) Joshua Oliver Benjamin Julian Thomas Alfred Alexander Robert Michael Martin Herbert Walter Peter Jonathan Robin Maximilian Roland Girls: Petra Andrea Claudia Christina Edith Anna Doris Barbara Ruth Sandra Rita Heidi Cornelia Alexandra Iris Hope this helps!!
My husband is German too and plan to name our kids German Names with Scottish middle names for me 💗 if we have a boy he will be Felix after his Grandfather 💕
My husband is also German and we’re expecting our first, would love to see this as well. Some names in his family that I love but we probably won’t use are: Anton, Anadora, Maiken, Johana, Jonas, Margot, Charlotte, Madita, and Matilde
Can you please do comic book charaters baby names. Comic books normally have the most interesting names. You could have a villain video and a hero video.
I have a name that I think people should start using, that is : Ismay: this name is really unique and rare and dates back to the 8th or 10th century and is also a surname . So it’s a very very old name that is really quite rare , and unique , but has rather mysterious obscure origins . I think it makes the perfect unique rare alternative to the popular name Esme 🌟😎👍🏼
I’ve recently fell in love with the name Souline, with the nickname of Soul. I think baby Soul for a girl is just the most beautiful name with a beautiful meaning behind it💕
I really like Azriel. Its the name of one of the Archangel's. However I think due to the Dark Matters series it will forever be associated with Lord Azriel
@@kaylaclarkyall You are right. Only just noticed that I had put Dark Matters, which isnt right - I meant Dark Materials. Golden Compass would be the film version yes. The books were Northern Lights, The Subtle Knife and the Amber Spyglass. I love that series; one of my favourites. The new books are also brilliant
Ooo yes she was my first concert ever. It was such a big deal because my mom let me say the bad words hell and damn because I was singing at a concert. It was *legendary*
I actually think Starlet is quite cute. Scarlett vibes with Star as a cute nickname. In the US it's just a synonym for celebrity or movie star which seems alright.
I’m not sure about Grey- it feels a bit sad and lifeless. Probably just my associations- I’d prefer a name that reminds me of life, colour, sunshine! ☺️ however I do have a friend with a baby girl called Finley Grey (Grey was her maiden name- which I think is a lovely way to honour family).
I'm sorry i cant take the name tuppence seriously and i burst out laughing when i saw it because to me it's basically the equivalent of calling your child after a no no zone 😭😭
@@Cassxowary yes I meant Tupperware. Sorry English isn’t my first language. It’s funny to see how one name can have so many different associations depending on who you ask
I'd never even thought of Starlet possibly having negative connotations, it makes me think of a small little star personally, it's interesting to hear how names are perceived differently by different people! You could also use Etta as a nickname because of the 'et' ending - so cute!
There were so many good options today, thanks so much! My ultimate favorite would have to go to Marisol and Rosabel. Evalina is also quite adorable, it is so good to see her. Thanks again!
Two girls' names in my Dad's family are Leottie (lee OT ee) and Laotha (Lay OH thah). I've never heard either one outside our family. I don't know how they come up with them, but the go back generations. I thought they were really weird growing up, but I'd be happy with either one now.
So cool! I was interested so I searched the names and can’t come up with anything. The names are so unusual, what a cool family thing, I love it! We have the name Tynce in our family, (TINE see) and I always thought it was weird, but I like it now
Liesel was on the list of names we considered for our baby girl, but I just was so in love with Elora there really wasn't any other choice. Elora Lane is now nearly 2.5 months old! ❤😊
The name Sultana is an Arabic name meaning ruler/queen (female version of Sultan). It is my mums name so a bit offended you think it’s ‘weird’ just because it means something different in the English language. Having said that, we do call her ‘Raisin’ to wind her up 😂😂.
Same! My sister is married to an arabic/irani man and my niece's name is Zultana (with a Z) and I find the name sooooo beautiful! When SJ said that I was like: Nooooo😫
Absolutely loving Teal, Goodness and Tuppence! We had a baby girl last year and I loved Rosabel as an alternative to my grans name Isabella which has become so popular! My partner just didn’t like any of my more unique name choices but we finally agreed on Lilianna and used Bell as a middle name for Isabella xxxxx
Oh Azriel is very pretty! It looks quite gender neutral to me. I also really like Dove... such a beautiful name symbolising peace... I think it would be a great middle name option.
Azriel I believe became famous after the character named Azriel from The Court of Thorn And Roses by Sarah J Mass. And since I'm in love with the character, it has to be my favorite from this list 😂😍
My eyes went 😍 when you said Junie. Husband walks in the room 5mins later. I mention it and without a heartbeat it's a 'Nah' from him. No reason. Just nah. 😂
Nevaeh seems very popular these days, there are at least three in the area around my home. We are over on the east coast of Canada though. I really liked Tansy, probably my favourite of the day.
Ah! My name (Tansy) is never in videos so exciting ahah! I've never met another Tansy in my life. I'm 19 now and still use Tansy for everything except work, where I use my full name (Anastasia.)
I’ve seen Aina on the list before but would have never guessed it’s pronounced eye-nar!!! I really love it!!! I also already have Tansy on my list and other ones I love that were used 3 times are Claudie, Dasha, Fifer & Magda!!
I’ve always loved the name Romana being a Doctor Who fan! (Tom Baker & Mary Tamm were my first introduction to the Doctor/Companion partnership on the show.) Tuppence is also great & never really thought about using it, but now I’m thinking I just might someday.
Teal has been on my list for years! I got it from a Cbeebies programme my little brother used to watch called Abney and Teal, which are both really great names in my opinion 😊
It’s unreasonable how long it’s taken me to follow you on IG. I’ve literally watched you religiously for baby name inspiration for going on 4 years. 😅🎉
I read a book once and the main character was a man named Golden. I absolutely love it, but don’t think I’m brave enough to use it. Maybe as a middle name.
I love the name Avril so much! Been thinking of adding that one to my list recently! Think it has such a cool vibe but also pretty, and I also love Avril lavinge so I don’t mind that association!
Teal! Love it ! I also love Marisol, I feel so silly as a Spanish speaker for not picking up on the Mar-y-Sol literally meaning sea and sun! So much more beautiful to me now!
Absolutely obsessed with the name Junie 💘 Tansy is also growing on me! How cute is that illustration! I love Marisol with Sol, Solly or Sunny as a nickname, but not sure I'm cool enough to pull that off!
I absolutely love Charlotte Grey, that's beautiful. Before we found out we were having a boy, Charlotte was #1 on my girl list. I'm not usually big on nicknames, but love the nickname Lottie too. I'd love to see a boy version of this list
I love that you used a Cicely Mary Barker illustration when you were discussing Tansy! As a child I had a little book of hers called Flower Faeries of the Summer. I spent ages as a child, gazing at the beautiful illustrations.
I’m pretty sure we actually have both sultanas and raisins, I used to have raisin boxes in my packed lunch, but also I’ve had sultanas 😂 according to google, raisins and sultanas are different types of dried grapes?
I love Azriel as a Natsarim. The EL is the emphasis as El is short for Elohim or Eloha/Aloha which is the singular form of Elohim that points to the Creator specifically.
I think Grey/Gray would be a great alternative for middle names like Grace or Lily. It would be a cool one for a boy too. Like Thaddeus Grey. But I love the color Gray and rainy days too. Haha 😄
I came across the name Eglantine the other day in Bedknobs and Broomsticks, which I liked! Only issue is she may get knicknamed “Eggy” so not very flattering 😂
I love Tansy!! And my niece is named Finley 🥰 I’ve never met another child named Avonlea like the town from Anne of Green Gables. That is one of my girls names 🥰
My sister is named Ayvenlea which was originally a misspelling of a different name but my parents liked the misspelling more, but people always think her name is Avonlea
