So strange how the RU-vid algorithm works...I've been watching bike restoration videos for the past years on here, yet, you have JUST popped up on my feed. Super cool stuff. I've watched a couple of your videos now and have been beyond impressed.
I love the colors and the editing and the soundtrack for this build. Also, small detail, I really enjoy watching you taking components out of the packaging right before installation.
I had in the 90s the neon orange haro extreme the higher end version to this. it had a suspension stem that was amazing! That bike rolled over anything and had so much compliance. Such a wonderful bike for the time I miss it.
I rode Haro bmx bikes, then mostly trek mountain bikes and I remember this bike when it was new. Your restorations, up-mods are thorough and clean. I love them. I don’t mind the colors at all, and styles are always changing anyway. My only gripe would be the wide riser bars. It is definitely a more modern, and popular, choice to have those but I still prefer 585mm with some answer bar-ends (the internal ones). I’m old now I guess. Lol.
That paint is just simply gorgeous. I've had a thing for green paintjobs lately, and this will do just nicely. It's both loud yet subtle at the same time. Just right. Would be great to have a custom painted bike one day and it might not be so far away though as Stanton bicycles offer that extra service. The grips was made for that bike as well lol.
You're inspiring me to push my bike mechanic skills. I restored a Trek 2300 road bike on Mavic wheels and a 9 gear Campy Veloce groupset, and got it riding beautifully. I see you, and I think I want it to be so much more now.
Back in the 90's I had this cool Joker horn on my bike, it would be the perfect match for the restored bike ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P3m-28A5Kdo.html
I had a 1990 Haro Impasse that came from Gorilla Bike! Rode it hard for over a decade. I still remember looking through the catalog and seeing these triagonal frames. So cool. Recently had a neighbor getting rid of one so I gave him $50 for it. I didn't do as much as you did to this one, but it does get ridden. Keep up the good work!
Beautiful! can't get over how pro your whole shop set-up is. (Minus the wheel disassembly on what looked like the kitchen table..lol) Awesome vid! "Meticulous" is an understatement on the level of detail that you put into this one.
Outstanding work Sir!! This Restore is spectacular, congratulations with the finished product. Will continue to look for more of you restorations , hope you have more soon. Stay safe and healthy. Take care.
@@BuildaBetterBike I do some very basic restoration videos. And I can see the skill and hard work in your videos and Bikes. And I’m super Impressed. Thank you for bringing the bikes back to life and all your builds. You are killin it!
Just recently got into tinkering with my bicycle and I'm so glad I ran into your channel... makes me want to set up my own shop! I hope you get to restore a 27.5" Mongoose Ledge 2.1 soon so I can get some ideas 😏
I owned this Haro mountain bike model. If you ride the bike on a regular basis the seat tube is going to crack at the downtube. I had two warranty frames, replaced both of them broke
Remember those from back in the day, along with all the other early 90's e-stay bikes (Nishiki Alien, Alpinestars, Yeti, etc.) Always wondered why they didn't flex like hell at the bottom bracket... then got a Saracen Traverse Hydrotech Comp and found out they did lol. Still awesome bikes though.
I LOVE the colour!! I love watching your videos and have watched many of them more than once lol. You've actually inspired me and now I'm currently restoring an old crappy mtb 🤣 Keep up the great work!
I really enjoy your channel! So glad I found it!Looking forward to more rebuilds!Oh and green is my favorite color so I really dig the shade of green on this bike.
Awesome build, first time viewer of your channel and straight up subbed. The amount of detail and effort put into the build and the filming process is absolutely amazing. Cheers from Australia
