A project in the works for almost 40 years, the Nisqually State Park, outside of Eatonville in Pierce County, is slated for opening by summer 2025. It is a partnership between the Nisqually Indian Tribe and Washington State Parks and will feature trails, roads, overnight camping areas, an interpretive center and native art.
