Former US President Donald Trump has landed in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, ahead of the 2024 Republican National Convention.
The 78-year-old announced his decision to attend the convention, despite an attempt on his life, in a post to Truth Social on Sunday.
“Based on yesterday’s terrible events, I was going to delay my trip to Wisconsin, and The Republican National Convention, by two days, but have just decided that I cannot allow a “shooter,” or potential assassin, to force change to scheduling, or anything else,” he wrote.
The convention will be held at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee and will run for four days from July 15-18.
The event will see thousands of Republicans come together and formally elect Donald Trump as the 2024 presidential nominee.
