Michigan State Senator Mike Green hosts united States Army Staff Sergeant Travis Mills as guest speaker of The 19th Annual Michigan Senate Memorial Day Service
Thank you Travis for your service and sacrifice and everything you do and have done for us and our country I’m a army veteran to and before my first deployment a family friend passed away and then A month later I was deployed overseas for my first time ever in Iraq then when I came home we went to his funeral service then after his funeral service we met with some family members and went to bury him and he was an awesome person
I am proud to say I served with Travis. He is a good friend and a great family man. He is the example of what a man when faced with overwhelming can do. Thank you for taking the time to allow him to speak. And Remember that Memorial Day is not about the BBQ, it is about the men and women that sacrificed everything so you could BBQ freely.
