What i really love about this anime/manga is the literal constant world building it has. Because like they said, the UMAs are added to earth as living, physical beings of the rules. Like eat being literal mouths is the rule added that humanity has to eat to survive. And that bit where Roshi talked about how there was nothing else in space aside from the moon and sun in the last episode. Makes you wonder, what kind of penalty. Would a UMA literally called "Galaxy" would add to this world

It is a bit confusing at first but you'll quickly understand the system of the quests, UMA's, Artifacts and Negators

Explaining better the UMAS things: UMAS are the rules that get aditioned to the universe (from 3 in 3 months or in case they fail the quests). Remember how this universe doesn't have other planets or stars? And you see that if they don't accomplished these quests the UMA Galaxy is gonna be add to the universe? Yup, that's it. The Negators ARE THE EXACTLY OPPOSITE OF THE RULES / UMAS. So we have a UMA Burn, and we have a negator Unburn, etc. So their main goal is to stop these rules to get added (I know some of them don't look bad, like Sex or Race or Language, but when you see the actual UMAS you realize that they really are dangerous) and to face the main being that is doing this: the god of this world.

One of the coolest plots/stories in all of Shounen... Arguably, the coolest! ;)

so in my understanding, uma is most similar to devils in chainsaw man but instead of fear uma are the concept itself and the power scaling depends more on the conditions they work on

I wanna stress something about the Umas. Even tho they can be tamed. They are not to he trusted. All the Umas have their own agenda, goals and mentality. Even if one seems friendly and cooperative, you dont know for sure when itll attack you. Clothy and Uma Move(the thing that snatched andy and fuuko up) are no exception.

The thing that goes pretty unexplained is that UMA is like Japan's version of UFO. It stands for Unidentified Mysterious Animal so think like Godzilla or weird forces and entities that can effect the world.

Man these actors can have range. Gojo's VA voices Andy. Also the VA that voiced kid Gojo and Killua is the top g in Undead Unluck, Juiz.

So crazy idea, what if the negators are just people that are unaffected by one of the penalties bestowed by the book? The book bestows penalties but their is no indication that these penalties didn’t exist besides being told directly. 98 times each occurring every three months is only 24 and a half years. So the penalties are potentially retroactive. Meaning that the negators are the leftovers from those changes. Like when her parents kissed her goodbye was the moment the consequence of luck was made into a force in the world.

This show is already up there in terms of best anime power systems

Andy sure likes to make an entrance. His little Union pals are some scary people. Juiz’s ability in particular seems to be quite OP. Mind control? I guess even the Union is powerless when it comes to these quests from Apocalypse. They gotta do what they gotta do to save the earth from some unseen “god”. I’m keen to see if Fuko can really wrestle that number 1 spot away from Juiz. It ain’t Undead Unluck if Andy doesn’t hang dong at least *once* an ep. Almost missed our weekly quota lol. Although with Clothy, things might be changing. A wise crackin suit is gonna be a fun addition to the cast.

Also, you guys are close with your penalty theories. The story is vague about things right off the bat, but you got it almost entirely correct. The only thing you got wrong is when penalties occur. They occur if all quests aren't completed within the month. The other activation is tied to the roundtable. If they don't fill all the seats of the roundtable, apocalypse won't open and give them the quests. You may think, "Shouldn't they just do that? If apocalypse doesn't open, he can't give them quests. Without quests, they can't fail. Without quests to fail, there's no penalties." However this doesn't work. This is the second way penalties are imposed which you got kind of right. Yes, there's a 3 month time limit before a penalty is imposed. Yet that only applies if any position in the roundtable isn't filled by someone. That's why they can't leave the roundtable empty. If they have it filled, they have a chance of preventing a penalty. If they don't have the positions full, they get a penalty they can't prevent.

Like why else would you specifically design a helmet that shows and hides your eyes? theory time from me, feel free to ignore. TBH unluck could have really been a problem, like if she really wanted to test her powers she could have went an killed people at random. Like if she brain washed herself to think everyone she met was a close relative all she would have to do was then touch them and get the max penalty of unluck. Also i dont think we seen what kind of unluck happens to someone she truly hated.

And the next penalty is 'Galaxy/Universe' meaning there is no space in this manga until they fail and a lot of things don't exist.

Those 3 penalties Sex, Language and Sickness all seem to be biblical references. I wonder if all the penalties are gonna be a play off of biblical events Sex - God created Eve in the garden, before it was just Adam. Language - The tower of Babel, God caused people to speak different languages, before it was just one. Sickness - sickness and death entered the world after Adam and Eve left the garden.
