TY for doing this Miles Sensei... great subject..Main message is there are different ways to get the results in a technique, but we prob. agree on the same principles and fundamentals to get there.

I think that this is a life principle - the Techniques are the personal Dialogue, the movements and techniques are the Reaction between people or groups - we either come together; or have conflict; on a level of Principles. We connect (positively or negatively) on the level of principles, in all relationships; In a way we only use the more superficial (conversation, politics, Aikido techniques) as an obvious handle to hold, take, to blame, or to react to - when we are thinking on an egoic level. Thinking from the realm of principles avoids all that.
