What is your vacuum’s CFM? What size of blade? You need to have 25 CFM per 1 inch of blade diameter. If you are cutting with a 5 inch blade, then you need to have 125 CFM. We would not recommend using a house vacuum for these types of tasks inspite of CFM. The limiting factor for cutting with an angle grinder is the size, geometry, and position of the angle grinder's head. When the CutBuddie for Angle Grinders is centered on the shroud and at its deepest setting, a 4.5-inch blade cuts up to about 6/8 inches deep. Without the shroud, the blade would reach about 7/8 inches before encountering the angle grinder's head.
