Yeah bro, only realised that after doing some research. But with the catalyser on it does actually reduce about 10% of the sound which is not much at all until I fitted a custom db killer.
dude, if you buy a cat that acutally fits correctly, it WILL reduce sound. hell, in rally they put cat converters on instead of mufflers cause they reduce DB but less restrict airflow
Pack in some stainless steel wool between the silencer and muffler will keep it in place and will reduce the noise further more. Either way great job and thanks for sharing

Thank you for the comparison. Although aftermarket exhausts sound amazing... what they don’t tell you after you install them they are really loud, like really loud. MT- 10 Competition Werkes on mine Cat delete and it will be only a matter of time before the Police pull me over for noise. Baffle going in..
Exactly, youtube videos of the aftermarket exhaust sound just does not make justice. Was shocked how loud it turned out when I first heard it. Also this was my first motorcycle. Do excuse me as the db killer in the video was actually pretty much a mini catalytic converter, did reduce tiny bit of sound but not much at all. After that I made a proper baffle to even tone down the ear-bleeding volume.
I got a 61mm pipe so I bought a 60mm silencer. What's wrong with this guy? If it doesn't snug fit, it doesn't work. Further it is a catalyzer AND a DB killer. Got a race exhaust on my Z900 and it works well.
I think we have the same exhaust. I got small db killer which goes inside from the inside of the exhaust not from outside like most exhaust because the hole is huge like yours. Police fined me because it was to loud and after db killer installation it looks lose. I am currently waiting for response from the seller to see what it the right way to install this small db killer.
Unfortunately these cheapo catalytic converter baffles are useless cause they are very small and the density inside are very low to real ones. Cause of that they can not lower the sound of bike as standart silencers.

Gret video, horrible audio... I am guessing that whenever a heavy piece or a hot piece falls out and hits your bare feet you will blame it on bad luck... wear at least closed shoes, safety or biker boots better... OMG
