Epic Universe is the most hyped thing I’ve been about in the industry since the Nintendo X Universal partnership announcement. That Donkey Kong ride looks insane.
That Donkey Kong Coaster idea is so simple but it's going to be such a cool effect! Stinks for Disney that they didn't think of it first... would have been a great concept for Indiana Jones.
Good lord I cannot wait for this. Im thinking you deserve that Spielberg style royalty deal on all tickets sold for this park after how much hype and excitement you've single handedly generated all these years!
"The Burning Blade Tavern" ..WOW, what an amazing, genius name for that restaurant. I think I'm more excited to see its final form more than any other aspect of this park, and that's crazy even to myself.
I thought the exact thing, immediately I was like THAT'S the restaurant I want to hit on my first visit! I'm sure the full mill is going to look spectacular. Hopefully they have a lot of intricacies and interactive elements planned for the interior itself.
I’d like a few more indoor attractions for rainy Florida, but this looks next-level. Super Nintendo World in Uni Japan is incredible, and it’s obvious that the top-tier Imagineers have fled a sinking ship for other companies like Uni. As a long-time fan of Disney and especially Epcot, I’m sad to see the golden years fade away at WDW, yet I’m also excited to see another company unexpectedly run with the baton! This is the closest we’ll ever get to Tokyo DisneySea in America. As long as Universal keeps investing into its parks and doesn’t just stop when Epic Universe opens, the company has a solid chance of outdoing everyone else.
I wonder if I'm the only one who goes "Whoa!" out loud like 10 times per update video. I'm beyond excited for this park. Can't wait to stay at that hotel and watch the fireworks after an incredible day exploring. Thank you, Alicia for these high-quality videos. Best ones on youtube by far. So nicely organized and love your narration voice haha :) They make me so happy. Thank you!
Monster land plus ride is probably my most excited area, especially having watched those old Scary Black and White atmospheric films. But also the Colourful lands plus rides of Nintendo land / How to train your Dragon (Berk) land, will look stunning too.
I hope when an official opening date is announced universal posts a trailer of the park that’s a concept and animated like typical roller coaster announcements and it showcases all the rides and lands
This was an awesome video! It’s so exciting to see the details being added in each of the lands. I loved the Dreamworks update at the end too. Thank you, Alicia!
It’s so hard to pick which land or attraction I’m most excited about because everything just looks absolutely amazing, the dragons land is gonna be a big surprise I can see it!
Dark universe is my most anticipated area but I think the Dragons coster is my most anticipated ride. I like how it wraps around the land and seems like it will be a lot of fun
Is Dark Universe really gonna be covered in fog? That little mention of it last video blew my mind. It would feel like a year-round HHN! Would be so cool!
At this point, I think Universal should spill the beans on what this park contains. My best suggestion would be a D23-like event at the Orange County Convention Center, or just a virtual livestream, my favorite one being the former. I think a blog post on the official website would not do it justice.
I was waiting in the line for Hyperion at Energylandia Poland and I happened to be standing next to a guy from the Universal equivalent of Imagineering along with a guy from intamin who was part of the Hyperion design team. They would not say much about Epic Universe due to NDA but they did say that he has seen some of the new technology being tested that's coming to Epic Universe and it blew his mind. He felt sorry for Universal parks because they will be left in the dust when it opens. I suggested he was talking about the fake trick track at Mario and he laughed and said no it's way more cool than that! Not much information but it was a nice chance encounter and sounds promising for things to come!
I want to see the HTTYD land, just being able to walk through my childhood will make me cry 100%. Everything looking solid and universal is giving Disney a run for their money JUST SAYING!
Just to imagine ... in a few months.. all of this will have come together and will be such an amazing park! I cannot wait. Im going to revisit this comment opening day
Awesome video as ever - love that your content doesn't stray into click bate rumours and speculation and is based on solid research! Really enjoying seeing the park come together - this sort of thing doesn't happen very often! Although one thing I do wonder about is the water treatment / sewage works that was nearby the Epic Universe site - I seem to remember when they first broke ground there was a lot of questions around what they'd do about unwelcome smells!.....not sure if its an issue, but I've not heard it mentioned since
There are ways to modernize treatment plants to minimize that risk. I’m not sure yet what the plan is by the park though. And thanks, so glad you’re enjoying the videos!
Awesome video! My guess is that the decorative element for StarFall Racer will be a abstract sextant. A sextant is used by ships to navigate the stars.
They are kicking ass!! I watch every update because I love seeing it come along. They are gonna get so much business with this park. I haven’t even been to Universal yet. I need to catch up 😕
Considering the whole overarching space-time theme of the park, it would be a huge missed opportunity if Rosalina isn’t a meet-and-greet character in SNW.
The Donkey Kong idea and theming is so cool. Of course, the Ministry of Magic is likely to blow everyone minds. I only wish that Universal would give Peaches a real castle to rival the Disney castle. I think it is a big miss on Universal's part to settle for a 3d mockup.
Epic Universe has more excitement building every week and beats anything Disney has going on by a longshot! Universal Monsters and Super Nintendo are what I'm looking forward to the most!
Alicia, thanks to you and Bioreconstruct, I feel like the first day I step foot in this park, I'm going to already know where EVERYTHING is! "Excuse me sir, where's the nearest bathroom?" ME: It's just around that corner, past that fountain...
Think about it- a launched wing coaster that flies through Paris, chasing after a beast that was accidentally let loose. The train could look like the thunderbird in the fantastic beasts movie and could maybe add another intense ride for epic universe in Harry Potter lands expansion?? (I’m hoping it has at least 3 inversions)
What a fantastic update! I'm constantly in awe at the pace of Universal construction. I'm definitely most excited for Super Nintendo World, but that hub coaster looks incredible!
I can't wait to see the donkey kong coaster in action. When they were building it it was hard to see how the illusion was going to work. Now its easy to see the under-track as just a part of the support structure instead of the actual track. It helps that the mine cart track stands out so much as well.
Definitely the Manor or whatever they are calling the main ride in Monster's land because I am hoping all the monsters are in it but also really looking forward to the HP ride. Also I have so many questions about the hotels and can't wait to see what amenities will be available at these two hotels located outside the park..
hey alicia. any update or idea where the old monster cafe statues have gone to since that picture of them at the epic universe site came out a few months back? do they have any plans to recondition them and use them or were they just brought there and since moved into storage? thanks!
i hope they make a scooter entrance for nintendo world. my mom is going to need a scooter by the time we go due to age and i’m hoping it’s scooter friendly
