Harry potter aside. If they did the first lotr area it would almost guarantee global footfall from all types of people theme park goers and those that don't it would be game changing.
As a massive lotr fan and themepark enthusiast i would love a lotr theme however i think it would be near impossible to capture the scale and locations in a single theme park area that are both iconic, practical and exiting
I agree but could you imagine if the nanaged it. Like walking into rivendel banked by mountains where you can entre the mines of moira dark ride. Have lunch in the shire take an eagle flight through middle earth. It would be a dream @user-eq5ns3nz7j
I think universal would be crazy not to have Harry Potter in the Uk. The Harry Potter world is based in the Uk (harrys story). Uk people would expect it. Also Bedford would be close to Watford so WB would definetly cash un on the two day tickets of studio tours and this new Universal project. Imagine having a real life hogwarts castle in the Uk. The brits will go in a frenzy. Harry Potter is a Universal staple and having it in the Uk will be perfect for WB and Universal.
I predict they will build hogsmeade and it will be the largest one of them all along with a larger version of hogwarts with a dinner theater experience in the great hall. They may also include a state of the art brand new attraction in the forbidden forest. That’s what I think would make the most sense.
There is no way they coud not bring harry potter into the new UK park Because harry potter takes place in the UK, and its whiten in the UK, and filmed and prodused in the UK.
We totally agree! With Harry Potter’s deep ties to the UK, it feels like it should be a done deal. The only thing that could hold it up is the licensing, but honestly, it seems like it’s just a matter of time before they lock that in.
Looney toons has a suprising amount of IP. It's a good choice for a kids area of a park. It's a bit different to most Universal parks as its not Minons or Mario. I would not be suprised if the Uk will get Mario as it's still quite new for Universal. I think Universal will wait until attendance levels for Epic Universe get them data on what is popular. Epic is one of few without Minions. Universal normally balance illumination( Mario, Minions) and WB (HP) with some dreamworks (httyd, shrek). Be interesting if the Uk would be different. I actually would love a shrek themed area as it gives British vibes.
Looki g for other lands than an expected HP i wonder if Looney toons would be chosen as a kids area. It will also be close to other HP attaction in the uk so WB would be favourable to Universal to bring hogwarts and the wizzarding world to the Uk proper.
Looney Tunes could definitely stand out as something unique, especially for the younger crowd. Mario might still find its way here later on, but I think you’re onto something with how Universal balances their IPs. Shrek could be the perfect fit for a UK park with its humor and British influences!
They have stated that HP will Not Appear in Epic Universe UK. Warner Brothers may be able to maintain the rights, but Jk Rowling is STRICT on how the property is to be treated. If Warner does use the IP, it will be in their own park, not Universal.
