I have to tell you that I have been a fan of the Brand New Heavies for many, many years. However, when this song automatically starting playing on RU-vid I just stood back and watched. I was mesmerized. I couldn’t believe how good it was. Granted this was not one of the Heavies more popular songs, but this band did a much better job than the Heavies did with the original. The female lead vocalist has one heck of a career ahead of her. Simply outstanding. In addition, I was quite impressed with the solos at the end of the song. All in all, a spectacular job. Keep up the good work!
GALING! Filipino here in the US who's also a big Brand New Heavies fan! I saw them perform in concert twice back in 1994 and 2006. Love this cover! Great vocals, nice guitar, the bass player is a MONSTER and props to the drummer who can groove on such a tiny electronic drum kit!
Ive been a BNH fan since their inception in 1991. I love your cover! We performed BNH covers back in the early 90's. I wish I could find the tapes(yes tapes VHS) of Us performing back then... we were good ;)
This takes me back to when my brother and I used to play in a band as teenagers. I'm glad he's still playing drums. I settled down and got married and raised a family. We all take our own paths in this universe.
