The problem i think,are not international students coming to universities, it’s “students “ coming to colleges “.

They will learn the hard way. They got all this time and didn't change the revenue model and sucked everyone with inflation and now everything will go back to the start.

Thanks to tuition for local students being subsidized and discounted.

😅😅😅 can they afford it, last time I checked they were complaining about the cost of living already being too high.

Canadian students are paying higher rents and competing for fewer jobs at depressed wages because of international students. They cost more than what they bring . The government has enough money to fund these colleges. The social and economic crisis these students are bringing to Canada has to be stopped at all cost.

@huhujojo1968 Well, education is provincial government responsibility. The provincial government failed to increase funding to colleges and universities with inflation over the years. Till early 2000s, provincial funding accounts 60-70% of college and universities funding, now it's between 30-40%. The colleges and universities partner with recruiters in developing countries like India, Nigeria, etc, to recruit students for the higher tuition revenues from them. So, only other options are rising the domestic tuition or rising provincial taxes.
