In this video you'll be able to see Clement Hall which is located on South Campus of University at Buffalo also known under the housing application as Main Street. This features my own dorm room which is a double & double with bathroom. Also features the floor lounges and the laundry room. Hope you enjoy this glimpse of the dorms! Can freshmans live in a single room dorm ?

There are single dorm rooms available for freshmen. If you really want one, make sure to put it as your first option in the housing portal. Also keep in mind, singles are going to be more expensive than living in a double, triple or quad.

Is a double and double with a bath just like a quad with a bath?

Hi! Quads with baths are typically on North Campus and are more generally more spacious than the one shown here. In the room in the video, its typically used for double w/ double or triple w/ double + bath inbetween the rooms.

During freshman year we’re you allowed to have a tapestry on the wall ?

Hi! Technically in accordance with housing guidelines, you’re not allowed because it’s considered a fire hazard. However, what was normally done was that people put them up anyway but when it was time for room checks they would take them down. Prior to RAs doing checks you will be alerted so you’d know when to take it down.

Does it cost more to have your own bathroom?

For you to have your own personal bathroom in the dorms you would have to be a resident advisor. Even as a RA there can be situations where you still have to share a bathroom. In the dorms, it is near impossible to have your own bathroom. At the very least on South Campus you’ll only have to share it with at most 4 people sometimes less if other students don’t show up.
