Umiami is my dream school and I’m currently going through the application process. I hope you don’t mind me asking but what did you write about in your personal essay bc your girl is struggling to write hers.

hey! that essay was always the hardest for me, especially since I was blessed w a decent childhood. I decided to write about being a black woman in a dominantly caucasian middle class area and how I struggled to find my place. I know that is either super helpful or not helpful at all, so I suggest thinking about something that makes you insecure, then write about how you’re trying to overcome it.

hey, glad to hear you liked it! friends are a bit harder to make now that covid puts some classes completely online, but I always choose someone who seems nice in class and follow them on Instagram, just so I have a point of contact. in person, as long as you have something in common to talk about, it’s really easy to make a friend :)

Any tips on how to find roommates? I've heard some people talk but about Facebook groups but idk where to exactly find those

it’s not that helpful actually! the best thing is to use Facebook to get into the groupme and say youre looking for a roommate! once u start getting instagrams id suggest mini-compatibility tests to see if u guys have similar living styles :)
