Same I'm still in high school so I have a long way to go but I can't wait till I get to this point and I don't have any plans on leaving Tennessee so imma try and go here as well
What's life in Knoxville like? The reason I'm asking this is because I am thinking about moving down to Tennessee to find a life of my own and to get away from the lake effect snow storms we have up here in northwest Indiana
I was a graduate assistant for the Pride of the Southland between 2012 and 2014. (This pregame was the fall semester after I graduated and I now live in NW Ohio.) Knoxville was a very cool place to live. Sometimes it frustrated me to no end and other times it seemed to deliver in every way possible. There is a well-connected downtown scene, and although the university is right there, it doesn't seem to dominate the city. There is a definite mix of "mountain hipster" that comes from being so close to Asheville. That in itself could be a selling or stopping point for different people. To me, I found it to be just the right amount. Knoxville has a very active festival scene as well. I used to play with a "Biscuit Band" for the International Biscuit Festival...its real, look it up! Although the town isn't as music-centered as Nashville, there is a good amount going on in the area. If you haven't visited yet, I would. Depending on where in Indiana you are, it might be a step up or down. The closest comparison around Ohio/Indiana that I can think of is Ann Arbor. Though, my knowledge of the towns through IN, OH, and MI is limited. I hope this helps. If you have other questions, let me know!
Eric I hope you visited Knoxville - it is a great college town with a drive away from the mountains, lakes and even the coast - the people are friendly and the SEC rules college 🏈
