Okay guys, what I am about to show you is how we can have a Unkillable Strand Hunter that also gets 15 second supers!
Let me repeat that, Unkillable with 15 second supers!
And we all know how great the 3 Strand supers are for each class.
I am super excited to show you this and I am going to pause the video to here and there to make sure you understand how we
are accomplishing this!

Assassins cowl is how I beat the campaign on legendary solo whenever I had to use strand. It's just such a fun playstyle, and it's so good. It is kind of sad that with all the fragments opening up, it looks like almost every Threadrunner has been using the same 4, but they're just too good to pass up.

i used it with strand to begin with, grapple melee making me invis when i dive in was great. unfortunately the range melee knife doesnt track back to you when invis so if u get a kill with the knife it will fly off into the abyss. couldnt deal with that.

@@vergilchair9517 the issue people have with Grapple currently is the fact that you literally can't use it freely, in order to actually get use out of it you need to grapple melee, so people are put into a mindset of being scared to use their grapple, even if it means they'll get out of a situation safely with it. Forcing 100 Disc, Thread of Generation shouldn't be necessary for just wanting to use it for mobility. It especially gets horrible when you want to use Kick-starts, which work *against* your Font of X mods. tl;dr Players don't like being forced into building specifically around a single ability just to use it for non-damaging actions

There he is. I've been waiting for this video. Of all great build suggestions for strand hunters I've seen here on YT, this is by far the best one. I was using Sixth Coyote with some success, but felt very squishy, even with woven mail. Not anymore. You never disappoint, plunder. Thanks again.

I’ve been really trying to make assassins cowl with grapple melee work, and while obviously it isn’t bad, at the end of the day it just feels like a less efficient version of arcstrider with assassins cowl. The extra damage resist from woven mail doesn’t really end up mattering a ton since the point is to always be invisible, and arcstrider does that while putting out so much more damage so much more quickly. And you still have the damage resist you get from sprinting while amplified if you need to escape This build is definitely fun though, and the threaded needle super is WILD

My biggest issue with the grapple is the inconsistency of actually landing hits. Sometimes I fly through enemies. Other times it's seems like the tracking gets bugged and I go in a wrong direction. If you have any tips please share!

Activate your attack a littler sooner to avoid going through your target. Make sure you've got enough windup space too. Seems like around a full second of momentum is required. This is my first week with it, so I'm still learning too. But it doesn't seem any more bugged than other melee attacks whiffing to me.

Plunder! Not thought about Assassins Cowl! Been using Frost EE5's & with all the Grenade Mods available it's bonkers! The Super Regen on this is IN-SANE however! Also, the Grapple x Melee on Warlock works with Felwinters Helm! Hitting things like Wyverns spreads the debuff SO FAR! I'm addicted to my Necrotic Grips though haha.

Just run the terminal velocity over and over today and every clear gives you 100! So 2 clears equal a new fragment 😊

I highly recommend Final Warning sidearm with this build. The exotic sidearm can spawn a tangle on enemy kills which allows you to grapple onto without consuming your grenade charge. This means you can have 2 tangles on a field at a time. Start battles with Final Warning kill to spawn a tangle. Grapple onto that tangle for grapple melee kills. Then if other enemies are not within range of that tangle, use your first grenade charge and do a grapple melee to kill those enemies next. This will activate widow’s silk aspect which spawns a 2nd tangle in another position of the field. Having 2 tangles to grapple unto is a gamechanger

My only complaint about Thread of Mind is that by the time I'm ready to swoop in and kill the enemies I suspended they are already dead because someone else killed them, this happens in split seconds, I haven't turned around to grapple after diving and the randoms are already killing them, then and I have to desperately generate orbs to recover the class ability. When I play alone I obviously don’t have any problems, but the reality is that 80% of the content in the game is not for playing alone. Is not going to be the end of the world if the devs don’t change it, but they should add to this fragment that you also receive some class ability energy if the enemies you suspended die.

it's occurring to me that this kind of build can work on any character provided you substitute Assassin's Cowl with a survival Exotic of choice for the other classes. using something like Quicksilver Storm or any other reliable means of generating tangles, you can use those to abuse the Grapple Melee as well. EDIT: yep, it works WONDERS when I was doing the Headlong campaign mission on Warlock. all you need is a reliable spawn of Tangles, and that mod setup can get all three classes' Supers back FAST! only major thing that would need adjusting is the "Unkillable" part... pretty sure Warlocks can use Karnsteins, but I dunno what Titans can use for THEIR Melees/Grenade...

@@Plunderthabooty I basically spam my melee after using it, always guarantees a catch! lol. Mostly use it because I use marksman;s dodge for the lower CD so I don't have a quicker way to get the melee up (which I use mostly to add sever for damage mitigation).

Thanks yet again, I stuck with your Arc star eaters hunter build all the way into Lightfall and got through it all with your build, is one of my favorites. Needless to say or ask can you see for us if it’s worth it for strand with star eaters? I did see other video where 6 hunters with strand and star eaters no buffs demolished Riven’s foot in one phase. It doesn’t one shot yellow bars on Neomuna in regular content. You can however grapple melee in and then dive immediately to suspend whatever isn’t dead or use a finisher to go invis. GMs are usually pretty slow anyway since everything does so much damage. Tbh, I’ll probably still run Omni during GMs because it’s just so useful for positioning and rezzing teammates.

Nice! Assassin's Cowl back in business once again! For now using Cyrta-whatevers Facade (new hunter exotic) - a little easier to keep your woven armor in Masters and with INSANE stomp damage big elites, bosses and champs do - I'd rather stay away as much as possible. Tried Sixth Coyote for more "tangle" focused build - it works... Then, I think, Mactics released video with same build but using Radiant Dance Machines and that 3x dives after dodge roll seriously can suspend whole room.

@@wayne9592 I don't find it remotely OP because it's situational. You won't spam this rotation in rooms where the ads are spread out and too far away. Even with maxed out discipline, the tiniest error or failure to one-shot everything and spawn enough orbs of power kinda kills your grenade recharge. No grenade recharge no melee spam. It's nice in tight spaces but wouldn't call it OP given what builds we've been allowed to play up until lightfall.

@@DrBones669 I'd argue it can be used almost anywhere, you'll always be spawning tangles which can be used as a back-up infinite grapple point so as long as you have at least one grenade charge you can easily make it work.

If you get only 70 discipline and then use the arms discipline mod it buffs you to 100 when you have armor charge.

TL;DW: grapple melee counts as both a melee and a grenade kill, so you can stack ashes to assets with hands on for double super energy, and firepower with heavy handed for 2 orbs per kill.

When you suspend an unstobbable champion they get stunned. Also suspend acts like freeze and keeps a anti barrier from putting up shield and overload from teleporting
