That guy is really good in acting, i love how you can see on his face that he's going completely mad, he gets destroyed mentally before he gets destroyed physically
This is a Croatian actor Goran Višnjić, he is very talented, you can watch him in the TV show called Timeless, he got into Hollywood, one of only few actors from Croatia and Balkan in general who succeeded in that :) He is amazing!
I think the video at the end is really remarkable: from 4.25 on, he shows that at the last seconds of your life nothing is important, achivements (he lets go of his cup), people you've known (picture he drops), and the mirror (looks count for nothing), nothing counts at the last moments of your life. Only you.
I remember me back in 2007 half asleep watching MTV night videos when this video appeared. It completely overwhelmed me and I got tears in my eyes. There was no internet for me so afterwards I got all of UNKLE's albums one by one. One of the best producers up there for me.

The singer is Ian Astbury of The Cult. The actor is Goran Višnjić (aka Visnjic in english), he`s croation actor (the well known Dr. Luka Kovac among others roles)
I know it's ridiculous how people keep on commenting where they heard this song from, but I think we should be grateful that we find good music in different mediums.
@saladinstg yeah the director for this music video is amazing, he carefully went through all those stages in a video that doesn't seems close to the 5 minute mark and also made it perfectly fit the songs lyrics, Mr Visnijics acting also made it unbelievabley better than most full length films you'll see today. yeah this video gives such a well deserved chill up a spine

I liked the ending. The sound of a toaster popping out toasts instead of an explosion when the time run out, even if only for a second, must have been a great relief for the guy. Did you see the surprise in his eyes at that moment? His brain must have been too slow to realize that he´s going to die anyway. I don´t know if that was an aim but I liked it.

The video was a perfect accompaniment to the music and vice versa, and the meaning of it seems clear: enjoy life, don't focus on the BS and negativity, do something before it's too late, and yet, it also leaves room for interpretation, thereby making repeating viewing a must. This is a perfect reminder of why I love FutureShorts.

This is by far the greatest movie short Ive ever seen. Whoever did this, keep on working guys! The story is truly sad, but the realization is brilliant. Faved.
What I loved about it was how the protagonist seemed to be in such a bad place that I expected him to do something self destructive; the beer bottles littering his disarrayed flat and his generally dysthymic manner all seemed to suggest he'd drowned his sorrows the night before, and probably several more beyond. So when he was suddenly confronted with his impending destruction, his reaction was particularly telling and hilarious. {cont...}

@mesaric5 I my opinion, from 4:25 when he drops all of this and waiting for the bomb to explode. He finally fell free, timer stopped, bomb didn't go of and he had a hope that he can use this lesson in future life, living as a free man. And boom. So I reading this like that: Don't waste time on things you want. Or remember that its not all. You have to be, fell free to be you. Because you'll die, for how long you will fell free in you'r life - depends on you.
