Ahhh, I recognised severn bridge in the background. Living in Switzerland now I have fond memories of studying in Cardiff, flying at the Bwlch, Pen-yFan, Fan Fawr, Rhossilli Downs and other places, but never made it to the place in the video. Would have been fun for sure, what a scenic location.
Probably it is "Diamond 2500" from Art-Tech 2.6m wingspan. I tested this model in an open area and in a slope with stable winds from 3m/s to 10m/s and gusts up to 20 m/s. It's a very good glider and I like it.
If there is a glider to be seen, it's here. And this is one of the reasons why I love this channel; it is an archive of sailplanes. Rrrr!!! But I'm still a bit frustrated; as an 'archive' of sailplanes, I am still frustrated to see that there are no videos here for the Wanderer 72" or for the Sitar Special... to me, without them, this channel is a bit incomplete... but I still love the channel. 🥰
If a video does not show up, perhaps you may have to go and edit the upload settings for that video clip, such as placing a ✅️ tick in the boxes where it says that the video does not contain ..... or mislead ..... +++++ @SlopeRCGliders
That looks a bit like my e-glider Artech Diamond 2500 (bought in 2013), but with all the irritating artwork transfers removed. I think this might have been sold also under more than one brand name, with different 'colour' schemes. Nice to see one sloping, I've only ever flat field flown mine
Looks like the diamond 2500 & the excalibur 260 look like same plane just diff graphics , but there poss same plane rebadged , i have the excalibur 260 myself , brand new in the box rtf version , bought it about 5yrs ago for £300 , sat in its box ever since it arrived (2 big for my liking ) so bought a myself a max thrust aggressor easyglide 1800mm and they look just like the sonicmodel 185
@@SlopeRCGliders the diamond 2500 is made by art-tech and the excalibur is made by teczone , but if u look carefully at both , there the same plane , i think the only diff between um both is the canopy are diff colours , the art-tech diamond have a grey’ish canopy and the techzone excalibur has a black canopy , bought mine when i decided to start flying , was my first buy , then when the box arrived thought better of it , 5yrs on any its still in its box and new as the day it arrived (didnt like the idea of assembling it and trashing it ) only ever flown upto 1800mm wingspan planes that are 4ch , and the there a 5-6ch plane , i’ll fly it 1 day if i dont get rid that is 👍👍
I get them from all kinds of places. A lot I build from scratch, either my own designs or from plans. Some I swap with other friends who fly. And there is always a bargain to be had at model swap meets or Facebook marketplace.
