In all honesty, I've never understood why people mourn celebritie's death. I was under the impression that "they don't even know you exist, why are you mourning them?" And then Wowaka died. His music had _such_ a huge impact on my life. That was when I understood mourning a celebrity. And now, a year later, this song still makes me cry. Thanks, Will, for doing him justice. Not many people talk about this, but here’s the meaning of the song. The song is a bit like Unhappy Refrain: It’s about the recognition and credit that Wowaka didn’t receive. Some don’t know this, but after the song Unhappy Refrain came out, Wowaka took a long break from making Vocaloid songs, some argue that this was because of his band Hitorie, but you can tell by Wowaka’s last song before the hiatus that he wasn’t satisfied in the Vocaloid community. Unhappy Refrain was about the credit Wowaka didn’t get, because people credited Miku, not Wowaka. Unknown Mother Goose is about the same thing, a song about why he left. You can see in the lyrics that it’s about Wowaka not getting credit “Can you see me?” Can you see Wowaka and not just Miku? “A forgotten story” Wowaka was forgotten The line “Pick me up again” was a mistake on Wowaka’s part. He admitted that the lyric is supposed to be “Give me love again”, people misunderstood it. “Give me love again” Give him credit, attention, love again It’s sad how Wowaka’s last Vocaloid songs were about an unsatisfaction with Vocaloid music, but I’m sure he’s happy to know that he’s getting the recognition, love and attention even though he’s gone.

I’m crying. I barely knew of Wowaka’s works, yet I knew that he made it and not Miku. I wish others could’ve seen that before his passing. Honestly, I’m pretty much sad all the time. I only ever really notice it when I absorb media with sad connotations, if that makes sense. I know this isn’t relevant at all. I just feel like an empty shell of who I once was, whoever that was. It’s been so long that I’ve forgotten what it’s like to truly be me.

will, this cover was so good. unknown mother goose is one of my favorite wowaka songs (or vocaloid song in general). i've never listening 2 an english version of it b4 and i almost broke down into tears on the bus. the way you added in a little bit of rolling girl near the end really hit hard. you definitely did this song justice.

Oh. This is about depression. I listened to this song all throughout 2020, it really helped me get through it, but i just put the pieces together. Makes sense, im pretty sure im going through depression right now, so now i kinda get it more than i did back then.

I really liked wowakas music, since all the songs by the artist gave me hope and reason to go on. Rolling girl is still a big comfort song for me. Rest in peace wowaka, you will be missed greatly and you were a inspiration to us all.

Wowaka was the one who wrote my first vocaloid song. Rolling Girl. Then, when I was in high school, dealing with trauma, relentless bullying, and people lying behind my back, I sang out his songs. It's part of the reason I'm even alive today. Rest in peace, Wowaka. I hope people will listen to your songs at least 'one more time.'

This is a wonderful cover, I started crying towards the end, it's really hit me that he's gone. His legacy will go on forever, but I am still heartbroken he couldn't have stayed on earth to create even more wonderful work. Rest in peace wowaka, I'll keep rolling.

I remember growing up on Wowaka’s songs when I was HEAVILY influenced by vocaloid, and I recently re-entered the fandom to hear this DEPRESSING news of his departure.... may he forever Rest In Peace, I loved his songs....
