Chrysler sure came out with some awesome cars never afraid to take chances with radical-looking designs and colors. Great lineup of engines from slant six's to the legendary Hemi.

If I remember correctly, Dodge Polara shared the same body. Chrysler had a good year in '67.

Great piece of work. I don't know if anyone else sees it, but styling cues found in the 67 Monaco make their way into the full size 72-74 Mopar Line up.. Very Strong in the 73 Fury. As to the engine, it would be a blast to have the 440. I can tell you tough, that the 383 4 Bbl was more than enough to twist the body of these beauties.

I agree, the 383 4V was a force to be reckoned with. Awesome performance. My opinion, stronger performer than the Thunderbird 390 4V.
@ClassicCarShowcase
@ClassicCarShowcase 6 месяцев назад
Thank you for your insightful comment! It's fascinating to see how the design elements of the '67 Monaco influenced the Mopar lineup in the early '70s, especially in the '73 Fury. As for the engine, the 440 is indeed a powerhouse, but you're absolutely right about the 383 4 Bbl. It's more than capable of delivering the performance that makes these cars so much fun to drive. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and passion for these classic beauties! 🚗💨

The Hemi was never available in the Monaco, nor any C body full sized cars. The production number stated in the video is correct for U.S. cars only. In Canada, only 153 L code 440 Magnum cars were built. I own one of them!

It's fascinating to learn that the Hemi was not available in the Monaco or any C body full-sized cars. I appreciate the clarification on the production numbers being specific to U.S. cars only. It's also interesting to know about the rarity of the L code 440 Magnum cars in Canada. Congratulations on owning one of them! That's quite a treasure. I remember we would all crowd around back of the mall to see some kid wheelie a 67 Dodge Monaco station wagon. Front wheels went up a foot. Completely stock except his Dad had installed the new fangled radial tires.
@ClassicCarShowcase
@ClassicCarShowcase 6 месяцев назад
Wow, that's a fantastic memory! It's amazing to hear about the raw power of the '67 Dodge Monaco, even in its stock form. The radial tires must have given it just the right amount of grip to pull off that wheelie. Thanks for sharing this story, it truly captures the spirit of the times and the enduring appeal of the Monaco. Keep those memories coming! 🚗💨

@ClassicCarShowcase

Thank you for your comment. You're correct that 1968 marked the end of a generation for many classic cars. However, for the Dodge Monaco, the first generation actually spanned from 1965 to 1973. @@ClassicCarShowcase I guess I thought you were referring to the body design and not to the actual model. I believe that the 1967 and 1968 Dodge Monaco looked alike but the sixty nine looked different.

@@terribelbliss9646 You're absolutely right! The 1967 and 1968 Dodge Monaco models do share a lot of similarities in terms of body design. However, in 1969, Dodge introduced some changes to the Monaco's design, giving it a distinct look. I appreciate your keen eye for detail and your interest in classic cars.
