It sounds cool at first but the more I think about it, the more I doubt it would’ve done much. Unohana along with her squad needed to stand down for this fight. Because if she and her squad was massacred as well, then who would be left to heal the survivors?

lol would have ended up exactly the same. Yhwach one shots Kenpanchi as his powers are massively broken, Unohana gets inevitably taken down, Yamamoto's bankai gets stolen and GG it's over. The quincies had YEARS of planning to prepare for this.

We’ve already seen Zanpakuto are capable of manifesting in multiple different forms, and those forms can seemingly change based on what level of release a person has. Admittedly most of the time we see other Zanpakuto spirits other than Ichigo’s (who is a very strange case) it’s not exactly canon but we have seen with Ichigo that Zangetsu (who even if the main spirit we saw was his Quincy half not his Soul Reaper aspect, was still part of his Zanpakuto) did appear older or younger at different times. If we assume that can apply to other Zanpakuto, the maybe Yachiru is simply what Nozorashi looks like in that sealed state, which actually kinda makes sense. For one thing when it’s stuck in its most basic state it has the least amount of power, therefore its spirit appears as a child. Secondly, actually consider both Zaraki and Yachiru. What did Zaraki want? Someone he could fight and enjoy himself against, in a way, one could say what he wanted above all, was a playmate, a very childish desire, so Nozorashi became a playmate. Also that’s what’s Yachiru’s Zanpakuto did, create playmates (honestly I have to wonder if Sanpo Kenjū isn’t actually just a subpower of Nozorashi).

In its Shikai Yachiru appears as a if memory serves teenager or young adult. His Bankai form is the Yachiru we are familiar with.

Its a foreshadow of Zaraki suppressing himself to fight, Yachiru Unohana just described what the situation was in that fight between them.

I think Kenpachi’s Zanpakutō, Nozarashi, and Yachiru, are the same being.

Kubo explained it in one of his Q&A things. I don't remember the specific explanation but Nozarashi can manifest as both a woman and a child.

Think about it. For zaraki - she was his best adversary - he was in his own heaven when he fought her - she even states this in the dub that the fight was heaven. Both are blood lust characters. So if he dies he refers to that as eternal hell because he couldn’t defeat her - and he always touts himself as the best - so it would be hell for him to be defeated. If she dies - it will always be his hell because there was no one else that could give him that same enjoyment in battle. To him both would be a lose/lose scenario. Die and be considered the weaker of the two - or kill and never have another heaven of battle ever again.

to them hell is boredom on the battlefield, to wish for a person strong enough to make them fight with everything and yet every challenger, every fight, every battle, isnt worth their time bc their opponent is always too weak to force them to fight for their lives. they life for that rush of crossing blades with a person that can push them to the brink of death and not just for a moment but long enough to actually enjoy it. you gota think like its an addiction, a high that can only be be supplied by the most capable of fighters, like when you see a soldier fighting in a war and hes smiling ear to ear durring the most brutal part of the fighting, and then when he goes back to civilization hes depressed and drinking himself to death wishing he could go back bc that was the only time he truly felt alive. its like that.

When captains die they automatically go to hell bc of the amount of spiritual pressure they have. Doesn’t matter if your Zaraki or Rukia being a captain means you’re condemned.

This was almost a love story, she died doing what she loved with the man that brought her true joy. The whole fight is like a courtship, they are literally soulmates.

She sacrificed herself so that way he doesn’t hold back meaning in the back of his head he knows she’s there for battle meaning he doesn’t have to look for a new stronger opponent.. he would suppress his power to that of his enemies… even as their dying… so he can battle longer… with her death he now knows there is no match for him meaning he has to use his all so he can find a worthy opponent… it makes sense not really forced… he can’t just “forget she’s there” when he’s in battle… now HE KNOWS she’s dead and NO other opponent to battle like that again… and they can always bring her back in some corny way for the hurt people… she coulda waited till he was gone to heal… lmfao… but now that would be forced

@@Abcdefeee but I m a bit confused how age works in Bleach: Zaraki was a kid, but now he looks way mature than Unohana. Head Captain fought Yhwaha 1000 years ago, head Captain aged so drastically, but Yhwaha does age that much still if he was sleeping he should have aged.

While I still feel that David Lodge is the better Kenpachi, I will say that Patrick Seitz is putting effort for this as it is very personal for the character. It makes me wonder how Lodge would have handled it.

This is more than we got in the Manga sadly. The closest we got to an Unohana fight prior to this in Canon was her scaring people.

Aizen isn't afraid of anyone but he knows his limits and Unohana is NOT one of them as Aizen planned to go against the zero squad the SAME as yhwach did as well. He wasn’t trying to fight Unohana because she wasn’t in his way, he faced off against her twice at the underground facility when Unohana and Isane confronted him and Aizen explained what was going on with his ability and then disappeared at the end when Tosen captured Rukia and Renji for him to get the Hogyoku. There was NO REAON for Aizen to waste his time on her so he left. Unohana was also there in the fake Karakura Town arc when she arrived with Ichigo and all she die was heal people up down below as she wasn’t fighting against Aizen when everyone was there fighting against him, she was depending on Ichigo to fight against him as he was the only one who didn’t get hypnotized by Kyoka Suigetsu. THIS is the context that was going on, not any of that rubbish nonsense you’re saying here as Aizen loves to talk but he does that to taunt them, that’s a key character trait of him. The ONLY person that Aizen “isn’t dumb enough to fight someone he knows he won’t against” was Yamamoto and Yamamoto ONLY, NOT anyone else. Aizen isn’t invincible but he’s monstrously more powerful than just everyone else to dog walk them all over them or be one on one to them. What you’re saying here doesn’t make any sense at all by not getting this. This whole talk about “butterfly form” is nonsense aizen didn’t know how far the Hogyoku would evolve him to. She was tamed by the head captain, and also after her fight with Zaraki she start developing new personality. she was the first kenpachi which means sword point.

Special threats are ranked for being unknowns. They each have a quality that cannot be planned for and thar makes them dangerous. Ichigo with his potential growth Zaraki for his combat strength Urahara for his bottomless bag of tricks Ichibe for his wisdom Aizen for his spiritual pressure. Ichigo is a perfect hybrid. Perhaps the first since the original Soul King. Who knows what he is capable of. Even when Aizen jumped into higher dimensions of power, Ichigo jumped higher still. Zaraki sealed away the vast majority of his power and, even then, can kill Captains using Bankai with his base form. Who knows how strong he'd become of he trained and undid all his seals. Central 46 didn't even trust Yamamoto himself to be able to keep Zaraki under control. Urahara plans for every possibility. Even Aizen's transcendence was planned for, and he ended up losing and sealed away. Ichibe has been alive since time immemorial, and his wisdom was responsible for Yhwach losing the last war. Who knows what he will do this time. Aizen is fused with the Hogyoku and growing ever stronger. Who knows what his power is capable of now. Unohana is a known entity, and thus, she can be planned for. Just like they did with Yamamoto.

Kenpachi inhibited his power when it came to fighting due to Unohana’s fight with him. The tragic part is… despite being well-liked, she of the old generation had to hand the baton to Kenpachi of the new generation in order to keep the flow going.
