For my house I used a 9 v drill from Argos. Cost £12 quid. Just looking at that attic space and I feel for u cutting and installing all that insulation.

@@macplastering the big problem is u want to get it in tight and the spacing of the joists vary slightly and some will have slight twists. U can make a jig to cut it to size with a hand saw. It’s fast and accurate. Then use some expanding foam to fill gaps. Then tape it up with foil tape to stop drafts. Look out for dial silver tape at b&q or screwfix. There’s no backing on their tape. All other tape has backing that needs pulled of which takes 10 times longer to do. I did our house in winter evenings with -6 outside. I hated the job. Hope king span supplie the man power to. Lol

@@macplastering yep wires on the side of boards too. Just rebated the insulation to get past them. It’s easy cut with an old saw. I even had a plaster board rasp to help trim it a bit if needed. And take it right down to the eves of the house. It’s hard to do in there. Also be sure to get foam that is safe around cables. Our local builders supplies has the big insulation washers to use with wood screws for fitting the big sheets to the timber. Cheaper than Amazon by far.

@@macplastering forgot to say tape around the velux windows to seal the frame to the rafters. Then insulate and plaster board.
