dude, i know simon since almost 20 years - one of the few guys out there who is TRULY husteling. such an inspiration. got a lichtlaerm on my board - love it. will get this one for sure.
Yeah, I've only known him a year but in that time we've bonded over hustling music related things. He definitely motivates me on days I don't feel like it. I'm really lucky to have a friend like him!
Very cool that Simon drove over for a talk. That gives a really neat extra perspective to this pedal. Sounds dope, love mine and it was fun to play around with it
They're great guitars from an era that was exciting and fresh. The only issue I had with this one is the neck profile was "baseball bat", so I had Royce reprofile and oil it.
I have to say, this is the best tone achieved with a pedal into an amp I've ever heard. Taylor, could you please explain how you have the origin set up ? Everything at noon or?
No, I found with the origin you have to push it a little into break up with the gain. Then the EQ I mostly dial to taste, but it's typically something like Presence - 8, Treble - 6, Middle - 9, Bass - 6, Tilt - 6, And then gain to taste. You'll also have to play with the presence quite a bit to tame or enhance the distortion you are getting in the top end
This thing is pretty versatile. Its definitely good if you're into doomier stuff or 90s death metal. It sounds like it could also do chainsaw or black metal tones. The one thing that makes me not want to get it is ive never heard anyone using it get a nice modern and tight tone with it. Im sure its possible but until i see proof its not for me lol
