Whoa, this is intense for me when I am feeling at my best. Not sure if this method would work for me. I think I would need time to feel bummed and process. Then I would need to come up with a plan before I could crawl out of my hole! Way to go. I really liked this style. More vids like this please.
To each their own. I say find whatever it is that works for you and makes your heart sing when you’re low. And thank you. This video style is the new style I’ve adopted. So stay tuned for more!
I took on a month of animal flow classes last fall when confronted with disappointment and it helped, but is unaffordable going forward... great topic and wishing you wellness in your soul to accept the new situation. 💕
I relate to jumping into something physical to get through adversity so much. When I was first diagnosed, I was in college and in a sorority, and we did a lot of step shows, and won a lot of trophies. Not to brag, but I stepped harder than most because I had something to prove to myself. My body might have been actively trying to kill me, but I was going to clap, stomp, and step her into submission lol, to prove to myself that I am stronger than I thought I was. Love you, Barrett! Your vlogs always hit home for me. Even through plaque psoriasis you are stronger than you think! 💜
And for anyone who doesn't know what stepping is, it is a form of dance in Black culture that uses the body to produce rhythms and sounds through words, stomps, and claps. 😉
I loved this so much. I always feel weird about my Crohn’s journey until we compare notes and then I see SO many similarities! I’m so grateful to have you in my world! 🌍 I can’t imagine this life without you in it!
I do a bit of the opposite. I try to learn new things and read more when I sense I have a challenge ahead. I learn everything about that challenge and then I tackle in whatever way I can. Something we do share in common is to always keep gratitude present every single day.
I love this. It’s so funny how we all approach adversity differently and yet, we all seem to have a similar instinct to find our way through the challenge in front of us. Gratitude is the thing that keeps me on the right path. Without it I don’t know where I would be!
The best way to show the people who support your gratitude is by offering a helping hand when they need it. But Kudos to you because I could not have moved been 1/8 of that amount of firewood lmao. Now would I have tried - Yes!!! Because I also like proving to myself that I can lol. Will these gems be featured in the Working With Disabilities book, because "Adversity is your biggest teacher" needs to be on a shirt!
Wow, very inspiring. Every time my thyroid crashes, first I get more depressed (which handily is part of thyroid problems), then I let it be okay to lie down more often, and let my weight hover and be happy with that....okay, not be frustrated and angry with that...LOL
Lol! I mean I can get down with this plan too! Sending you love and good energy Regina. I hope your thyroid is not giving you hell. Big hug my friend! 🫶🏻💯
I FEEL THIS SOOO MUCH!!! Jumps through screen to hug you guys. I jump into mental things to keep my challenged and show capabilties. Though I've had the inadverted physical ones lol. You are going to be fine, you're discovering something little by little. Plaque psoriasis is definitely heriditary so it was probably set in motion to activate. My grandpa's mothers line I think several family members actually had it when they were living.. Man it brings back memories of using tar smelly shampoos when it flared in my hair..
Lol, yes on the charcoal smelly shampoos! 🤣😂 You’re right. I recognize in myself that little by little I am figuring out my new normal. And that new normal may be different for me from year to year. There is nothing I can’t overcome. Thanks for the good energy and always being so supportive. I appreciate you. Hope you’re doing well. Sending you hugs and good energy! 🫶🏻💯
